^that's funny... do you have a particular line or two that works...

I usually start by saying "Hello friend! It's such a gorgeous day today isn't it? Thank you so much for calling/knocking on my door and allowing me to share the good news with you! Do you know that GOD loves you? In John, chapter 3, verse 16, the Bible says For GOD so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life".

If it's a telemarketer, I very rarely make it to the end because they would have hung up by then  If it's a door to door salesperson, I usually make it to the end and then I'll put my arm around them and invite them in. Oh and I always answer the door with my Bible in my hand

That's awesome! I would probably start with: "Have you heard the good news?"

they also gave me a chuckle... what pearly words of wisdom have you brought

to me today, child???? we could have alot of fun with one liners... but,

seriously, having those kind of phone calls are not pleasant for sure...OP

will come up with something clever.. my money is on her...

OMG, poppet and handbaghoarder! You two just made me laugh so hard! I have a friend who loves to screw with telemarketers and door to door salesmen...she is going to love both of those!! Way to bring a little humor to a thread that definitely needed a little uplifting!! :lolots:

As for OP, have you looked more into suing paypal? I know you said you looked into it before Chase refunded the money, but are you still considering it?

I am really not too concerned about my perfect credit being messed up. I know I will be able to dispute that on my credit report with a little bit of legwork.

I am more concerned about the 9,789,987,067 phone calls I will receive from collections. I have read online that PP collections agencies call up to 15-20 times per day if your PP account is over $1K negative.

So sorry for this turn of events. I had a Paypal situation that involved less than $99. Paypal calls every single day - 2 to three times a day. I no longer answer the phone Paypal has listed. Like you, I am not concerned with my credit report being messed up, since I also have all my paperwork. Paypal really is a pain in the a** and I will never use them again!

I still plan on filing a lawsuit against paypal. I am meeting with my BFF that is a paralegal this weekend hopefully. She already printed out all of the different forms, etc. that have to be sent to Paypal's agent for server of process.

Fu$& THEM! This whole situation is just so unbelievable. Paypal is just a scheming, crooked, fraudulent, money laundering organized crime group as far as I am concerned.

It's possible they only made your account negative because they intend to contest the Chase chargeback within the 45/day time period. Not that I don't think you shouldn't go ahead and pursue the lawsuit, but I just thought maybe this might explain the events of the day.
