So back to the main event - Are you sure your center stone is 1.25? I thought it was so much larger. It's just amazing. Truth be told, I was never a fan of the Halo but I am now a convert. Stunningly beautiful
So me - I've been looking for a step cut emerald for over a year. I did see one I really liked at GOG but waited too long and it was sold. BooHoo.
My local jeweler just returned from Basil, said he saw some great stones and is bringing a few in for me to look at the end of this month!
So excited...My original wedding ring (my Ering was mounted onto my wedding band, a 10mm wide gold band) was stolen years ago and I replaced it with an eternity band. Now I want the big solitaire again

I'm fine. Was at the Dentist the other day and thought of you! He froze me up to the point I couldn't feel my ear!- and I was only getting a tiny stress fracture repaired (I grind like a fiend at night!- bite-guard coming next week!) Thankfully, 4 hours later, I became normal again. Do you think I'm a little sensitive to the freezing?? LOL
Specs:centre stone is an RB approx 1.25 carats, VS1 G Haven't gotten the new certificate with the halo stones, but the total is somewhere over 2 carats

You know, I always thought my jeweller made a mistake with the stats/size of my diamond as it does look larger than it is.
GOG have beautiful stones. Wouldn't hesitate to grab something from them. Emeralds have that amazing FLASH to them......totally YOUR personality

It's crazy how a 1.25 can look so different with an emphasized round halo. I don't have one of those really small (Lucky girls!) hands that are smaller than a size 4!
Everyone says from pictures my ring looks like a 2 carat but in person maybe 1.5? I'm not sure why it photographs so large? Maybe it's the sparkle and glow in the light? No one believed me when I said it was 1.25! I love the size though and it's perfect balance of quality and size for me. Love love love it!

I would tell Jon and Sarah if you really are actively interested in an EC. He puts those through the ringer just like all the other stones.
I find it fascinating when someone thinks MINE is 2ct. A few jewelers (apparently not good ones...) have thought that, though I guess the fact that this cut is literally edge to edge light return might give that impression. Dunno. I have had to talk myself down though because I really LOVE your setting. And for someone who was never a Halo girl, that's quite a big thing.
I wish my hands were skinnier every day!!! Even when I was at my lowest weight my fingers were fine but my knuckles were always a 5.5 or 6. Bony fingers. I am terrified when I get older they will really be arthritic.

My sister is a 3.75, my cousin is a 4 and my other engaged friend is 3.25! I'm a 5.25 and I feel huge against them. Time to invest in finger liposuction technology! My ring spins on me now but DF wants me to keep it like this for when I gain weight or get pregnant in the future.
Haha I literally had to take myself down from YOUR or any vatche solitaire setting! I love my plain shank halo bexause it almost looks like a solitaire eith that hint of unique detail but then i also question whether or not i should have stuck to the original solitaire idea. It also didnt help that my sister ordered the cushion with the cushion halo and same tacori basket! But i love my ring wnd still stare all the time but the rings here are so amazing its hard to not be tempted! There was even a fleeting moment I wanted a three stone with pear sides! Haha tpf is so bad for this!
