I’m really a total newbie to LV and lux bags in general, but on the old pieces I’ve been spraying a white cotton cloth (a cut up white t shirt specifically) with a spray-on leather sneakers cleaner my husband bought at a market (it was being demo’d by hustlers and looked to do a good job) and rubbing the canvas in small circular motions, then wiping a very thin layer of clear bear wax on it and leave to dry. It’s very satisfying seeing the dirt come off onto the cloths! And then I use Brasso with q-tips on the hardware (while covering up vulnerable areas of the bag with Saran Wrap for protection).
If anyone knows any better way of cleaning old pieces, please let me know or direct me somewhere on the forum! Like I said, I’m a total newbie and I am willing to take advice, and I will listen if someone says I’m doing something incorrect
