That looks great! I actually like it much better than the natural vachetta.
Thanks! I am soooo sick of protecting it, not using etc. For what I pay I don't want to eventually carry around a bag where the vachetta looks like crap. I have treated mine for years and they STILL eventually look horrible. If LV treated or stained and sealed a monogram bag instead of using vachetta they would make more billions of dollars? Woman pay top dollar for untreated LV bags. Why not add some different color leathers that are more durable? My next vintage I'm going to use a different color stain. Thanks for the compliment!

Hey everyone :)
I bought my first LV handbag from Japanese seller on eBay next-innovation in November. It's 1999 the year I was born and I think it's gorgeous. I usually clean it with babywipes, and once I used the apple cleaner and it darked the vachetta. I don't really like how handles get dirty in the middle, what do you think is the best way to clean it ?

I'm so excited to be part of this club! I've always had a thing for vintage bags. I find it amazing that my new-to-me Speedy 25 was produced in 1995 and that it has so much history now. I hope to use it for the next 20 something years.

I would love to share mine. My year 2000 Petite Noe and Pochette.❤️

There is a tear on the loop part of the strap of my Pochette. Thinking of getting the strap and vachetta tab replace / repair by LV. What do you guys think? Or just save money for another piece? I also ordered a chain from Mautto for it.

Question for those of you with vintage pieces 18 years or so is your bag still holding up? I have my eye on a bag that's a beauty but not sure I want to invest the money if it's going to fall apart in a few years and lv won't repair. That said it sure seems the older bags are better made to me in some styles

The only problem can be with leather parts of the bag like zipper pull tag or handles. You can replace all parts in LV. If you want to buy a vintage piece, you need to look at canvas firstly. My canvas on speedy is literally perfect, so I don't worry. I compared my pochette from 2011 and my speedy from 1999 and I noticed that canvas on the speedy is much more thick and feels better. Definetly quality has changed a lot. To say honest, I don't think that speedy from 2016 will hold up as speedy from 1999 did. Maybe I'm wrong

Thank you so much for your response!! Helps a lot!! I will look at the canvas carefully!
I agree I wonder if the bags from the last few years will be as durable -

I agree about the canvas. That is not repairable. I have a Speedy from 1982 that is holding up really well. I got the zipper replaced at LV recently and they charged me $90. That bag will outlive me. Vintage pieces are still around because I honestly think that they were made better back then. If you take care of them and get things replaced that can be replaced, the bag will have many years of life left. Good luck! :)
