Purple passion!!:heart::heart: Reminds me of my 6th grade geography teacher. Her classroom was purple in every way possible, she dressed in purple every day, she wrote with purple pens and chalk, and would give extra credit for maps colored with plenty of purple colored pencil. Side question - on the faded purple, would you expect a product like Blackrocks to darken it up to bring it back to the rich original shade, or is it too late once it fades like that (not only purple but tans or reds)?
Once purple fades it won't come back. It gets sun bleached and it changes the color completely, unless you put a recolorent or dye it it will stay that color, no matter what you try, the color may get deeper with conditioning but it will never be even all over. A red and tan will come back a little. In my experience

I agree, lovely bag! I've owned several of them and sold them because the strap was too short. I also wished it had a back pocket.

The 9988 Saddle Bag seems to have been an answer to these shortcomings. I've never gotten one, but may check it out one of these days. I'd also like find a 9949 Faith's Legacy to test drive.

My Faith's Legacy came today, and I love her. No back pocket, but everything else suits me perfectly. This bag reminds me of Lyra's pouch in The Golden Compass, so I'm calling her Lyra!

A tale of 2 purple station bags. So this will be my 3rd purple station bag purchase, lol. I had one, messed it up with obenaufs devil oil, and sold it because I found one in better condition (left one), but its it's still faded, much more richer purple under flap. Found the one in the right on mercari a few days ago, looked pristine couldn't resist. Had full intention of not keeping both, just which ever was in better condition. Come to find out they're 2 completely DIFFERENT PURPLES! even the suede is different! So now I'm keeping both. The end!
They are awesome...keep keep both...such great colours!

Does anyone know what color green this is? 1994 bag I believe J4B-9755. Is it bottle? I tried to find pics of the hangtag colors from the time period.

Thank you.

It was YOU! I missed that bag on Mercari by a few hours. I swore at you. I'm sorry, I didn't know it was you. Those are both gorgeous bags!!!!

Both have outlet stamps, both have xxxx-xxx number combos. I'm thinking different dye lots and perhaps different hides. The lighter ones inside pocket, piping on the handle and hang tag are the same color as the darker bag. I dunno. My blue station is 2 different colors too. It might just be how different hides took the dye. Just another awesome thing about a vintage coach bag, each one is unique.
