Ladies (gents too)
A friend of mine has this gorgeous little Bonnie Cashin number. She owns a vintage boutique/record store in town. Shes asking my opinion on what I feel she should do with it. The strap is split and the leather is worn on the middle kisslock....but all in all..
Would it be more marketable if repaired or sold as is? Shes also offered it to me - bit I'm wondering if my vintage addiction is getting a little out of hand ;) (nahhhh)

There's definitely a market for it, either way. But I would leave any repairs to the new owner.

That is exactly what I told her. I think those that want to "collect" would prefer fixing it themselves. Both she and some more friends that have a(nother) vintage shop a few doors down have original Bonnie Cashin pieces. Not perfect, but I keep hoping the right buyers are out there!

So I've been going s little nuts lately and bought, like, 4 bags in 2 days. So 2 have arrived
1) the bella court bag
2) the carousel bag
Also, arriving tomorrow is a geometric clutch in tangerine and an nyc station in black.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one, after my Sheridan jaunt I was realy good and sat on my hands until last week...then it hit. One red Court bag, another Montichello this time in black and brown a Bleeker flap and last but not least a black Post Pouch.

Nice! I like that post pouch, its so cute!
I have bin searching for one  that was half way affordable, it's the most I ever spend for a bag and when she came in today and I unpacked her I fell in love all over again.
She is so light and petite and now I need to find a smaller wallet just for that bag, my big accordion zips wont fit in there. Here I go again spending money...nah I got some ebay bucks so the damage to my wallet should be minimal.

The color is something of a british tan, for 35 dollars it's worth the effort to restore her. It's the one that house99 mentioned needed rescuing.First I was nahh, not after the remember Willis but sucker that I am I couldn't resist. That Bleeker is in better shape tho.
I'm excited to see how it comes out! I just scored one in the wine color for the same price, but it needed no rehabbing. Still using it, I love that bag so much. I feel like several of us in this forum got bit by the Bleecker bug recently!

I have bin lusting after a Bleeker for a while, the intricate work on the strap alone is astonishing.
Hopefully I can muster my shaky pins to hold up long enough to dunk her tomorrow, as long as I can get the bin in the bathtub the rest will be easy and I can handle that sitting down.

Ooh this is exciting! I love these bags! I haven't parted with mine yet. I'm going to try to find some sort of antique brass hardware to extend the strap just a tad bit.

Is this the one with the Tattersall lining? It's a great bag, such a nice size and so easy to wear. You can really scrub the lining if it is dirty. I literally turned mine inside out and scrubbed it with a nail brush.

I down sized to a nice card case I found at the outlets. It's a "man's" wallet and it fits in all those tiny bags lol
