Was the Courier Pouch ever faked? I'm going to look at a bundle of 17 vintage coach bags tomorrow and the seller is out of town for the weekend so she can't send more pics until she gets back but by then I will probably just go to see them, they're not far from my house. I am not skilled enough to recognize fakes of some styles of Coach bags but I can see from her photo that there is a Courier in the lot. I'm thinking if I get a few fakes out of the lot of 17 I will still get my money's worth if the Courier is genuine. I can also see a Willis, a Court, a Station, a Stewardess, a City and maybe a Willis City as well. Plus the Courier, of course. Then there are several styles I don't recognize by name but I do know that they are Coach styles. I will have the SaleArea guides and Daria48 lists to use as a reference to help me weed out any suspicious bags. Honestly tho, I really just want the Courier. Is there a good chance that it's genuine?

Standing in the closet this morning, my husband commented that my "bag space" is full and so I needn't buy any more.
He doesn't know about the rehab pile in the basement, or the ones stored under the bed :graucho:

Doesn't "bag space is full" mean you need more bag space? I don't think your husband understands how this works.

So I splurged and got a coach bag strap in snake skin, it goes with every bag! Also you never know when you're gonna need a replacement strap.
Again, girl LOVE this combo. I have the strap, but thisnconvinces me I needed a vintage blue bag!! [Which I indulged in. 1997 navy pocket purse]

Ummm, same!! Although my "bag storage" is not 100% full...but I have been hiding my PERSONAL acquisitions down in my basement with my refurbishing materials. They are not to be confused with the "referb for sale" pile...
And if he asks " I've had it for awhile" or "it was a steal! [Which isn't a total lie]"
I just keep my fingers crossed they arrive any day of the week but Monday when the mail comes whilst I'm at work :giggle:

HAHAHAHA I'll point that out to him. That whole section to the right is his, plenty of space there

Yes I definitely think you need more bag space!

Yep, the "His" side of the closet can be simplified by just getting one of those roll-about racks like they use in hotels. He doesn't need to take up valuable closet space with something like shirts, a rack is good enough. Any other space-hoggers like golf clubs or fishing gear can be moved to the garage, he'll save time and energy when he wants to use them because they'll be so much closer to the car. Get him one of those DIY wall storage and hanging systems, and he'll have so much fun planning how to lay it out and then putting it all together and mounting it that he won't even mind having "his" closet space re-purposed. Just think how much easier it will be on his back when he doesn't have to lug those heavy clubs all the way down to the garage from the bedroom. :giggle:

I love the organization! And you have a nice collection of vintage and contemporary (is that the term?) bags!

So I was inspired by this post and went looking on the coach website for straps... :) has anyone tried to pair one of the new chain straps (the gold coloured one) with a vintage bag? If so, do they match? I’m tempted to get one for my pocket purse for when I want to dress it up... thanks

Thanks - these are the ones I use often. I have some older ones that I have had for many years but I don't use them much, and they are stored under the bed. I should sell them but since I bought them new in the 80's I have a hard time parting with them. I also have some of my mom's old bags from the 70's and very early 80's. I don't have a lot of "modern" coach. Just the two Rogues, and one that my husband proudly bought me from an outlet.

Oh really!! I do recognize the rogues but I’m not familiar with the other styles (not from their profile anyway..) so I thought they might be more modern. Obviously I have more to learn! :)

I understand not wanting to part with them. I’m new to “collecting” and am happy that others are willing to sell, especially if the bags are still in good to great conditions. But I don’t think I can bring myself to do that... which is why I need to take a break on the buying!
