People do sell dustbags secondhand, if you want genuine. Not all vintage bags came with dustbags, it depends on the age and collection. I've used pillowcases to store bags as well for one's I've purchased second hand that did not come with a dustbag.

There was one which could be an inspiration, sort of, but it was way before 1980s. A rectangular shoulder bag with a kisslock on top, one main compartment and another small compartment with a turnlock on the side. It didn’t fold over, though. I’ll post a pic tomorrow, if needed.

I’m looking to buy a replacement tag and I found one decently priced. But on the reverse side the logo is backwards? Like how it would be in a mirror. I asked the seller if maybe it was her phone that inverted the image? She said that’s the way hang tags were ... I’m at work so I can’t look at my other tags but that doesn’t sound right to me?

Edit: never mind I apparently can’t read or look at images correctly the tag was just upside down LOL haha

I just discovered that they did this for their 75th anniversary in 2016. There are a few more embellished bags I found.

I personally prefer my vintage bags the way they are but I have a putty court that has a stain that might end up with tea roses.

I’m so excited! I’ve been watching for a Copley bag for over a year and I’ve finally got one! A few have come along where the condition was good and color was nice but too pricey. Others were meh condition. This one is in great condition IMO a few very minor marks but hopefully some conditioner will buff them out. The turn lock is a bit tarnished but it seems like brushed metal so not sure how I can remedy that without messing up the finish. I may just leave it.

This bag unfortunately came along when I’ve been going crazy buying vintage bags to rehab of course. When it rains it pours but I had to snag it!

Here is Copley in Butter and Black colorblock!! I didn’t know where else to post this lol
