How did you go this long without a black bag? I'm never looking for black but have ended up with a bunch!
I dont know! Any time I've come across a black bag, it's always in a style that doesn't appeal to me, but this saddle bag...it spoke to me. Also I have bags in very close colors to black, like black coffee and navy.
It's an authentic Convertible Clutch #9635.
I think it could be a Coach strap, but it was shortened. The ends look like they were cut and put back on with rivets. The stitching doesn't go all the way around the ends of the leather. But the color matches perfectly.
No, the seller is on vacation, so I gotta wait until the 26th until she gets to ship and I'm dying here! Lol as soon as I get it though!

These are recent remakes. Coach didn't use turnlocks or buckles with logos like that until recently. Some of those hardware colors weren't available when these styles were made. A vintage duffle sac would have a black zipper. The city bag and musette have edge coating, which wasn't used back then. That hangtag on the satchel looks so weird with the word "leatherware." It is a copy of the originals but looks wrong in the pebbled leather.
ETA: this seems disingenuous to imply these are vintage bags.
That leather definitely looks brand new, and they need to make these to sell!
I would buy the pebbled rambler in a second if they used the 1941 leather! That color is beautiful it looks a little teal but I wonder if it’s denim.
If they wanted a colorful Rambler's legacy, they could have used mine.
