I think they have one of those, but in much worse shape. I’ll take more pictures, but it’s hard to capture the colors with the glass and the lighting.

I doubt if I'll ever make it back to NYC, but just out of curiosity, which store has the Rexy made out of handbags? THAT'S something I'd love to see in person!

Welcome to collecting vintage Coach! They're both lovely bags.

The strap edges weren't painted on the older bags, but I believe a clear glaze was sometimes used. It wears off over time.

I got my UA Stewardess bag. She came fully rehabbed by a pro and feels nicer than any bag I have done myself. However there were a couple hiccups. Shipped to my home instead of work (almost got ugly with the mailman when it said delivered and I didn’t have it) which meant it was shipped no signature required and left sitting at home for 3 hours. It was practically baked when I opened it.



I was not thrilled to open it and find undisclosed ink marks in both corners either

But I like the bag

I just ordered some sale novelty straps from coach in hopes of doing this, they should be here tomorrow!

I would love to know how you all went about this, or any advice you might have. I only got as far as ordering the straps, and have no real plan yet on how to execute it.

I took my bag into a Coach store and they put the tearoses on the original bag strap. Since it was a buckle on strap, I couldn't use one of the straps they sell. It is more expensive to customize than to buy the straps on sale.
