This just arrived today. I bought this in red and brown and both had super chewy thick pebbled leather. So thick that the strap wouldn't slide easily and they squeaked! So I got rid of them. This color (periwinkle?) stole my heart so despite of my past experience with the strap issue I bought it again! Third time's a charm! The strap doesn't squeak! I'm so happy! The periwinkle is gorgeous!

So what's in everyone's wish list? What vintage coach bag are you looking for?

I wouldn't say this is a final wishlist....just things I'm pondering at the moment.
1. a made in Costa Rica Court bag in probably black, mahogany, or navy. Would have said Coach Manor but the ones I've seen only say made in USA so I'm not sure if that style was made in Costa Rica.
2. I would really like a cosmetic bag & lipstick case. Probably from the Madison line, but I'm open to others.
3. I really am drawn to the plum color in the Gramercy collection. I've seen a bag that looks like it is either the Biltmore or Copley size. Not sure the official name (think Gramercy Top Handle) ...but I've seen a few in board searches on here.
4. Something from the Madison collection.
5. I'm not sure of the official name but I really like something I've seen called the Whitney Top Satchel. I think the Style No. is 9185 and I'm curious because every one I've seen was labeled as Made in Turkey so I'm wondering if that is only where they were made.
6. Something made in New York City
7. Maybe from the Sheridan line

I'm probably forgetting a few things ..but this is what I'm liking at the moment.

I'm not actively searching for anything at the moment.
However, if these things were to fall into my lap, I would happily take them.
1. pony express
2. red Madison
3. rare vintage that I don't already have
4. regular sized Safari bag in 2 tone pretty colors
5. hot pink crossbody - can be any brand
6. a Bulgari bag
7. a reddish purple bag
8. something in periwinkle

This is such a soothing pretty color! I'm glad it doesn't squeak!

I'm missing 2 & 8. Never owned 8 I had a Manor in mahogany but sold it.
Had 9. Black with nickel and just sold it recently. I feel weird about Devon. For some reason it looks naked to me.. like it's missing a top handle. [emoji38]
It's very possible I'd end up feeling the same way about the Devon--I'm definitely a fan of top handles! How do you like the Hudson?

So what's in everyone's wish list? What vintage coach bag are you looking for?
Good question!

Here is my wish list:
1. A Pony Express in any color except white or black
2. A Willis in pool blue with nickel hardware
3. A Willis in British Tan
4. A Courier Pouch in putty
5. Non-vintage but still on my list is a large sized Rogue in some shade of teal or blue
6. A Legacy Zip in red
7. A Janice's Legacy in light blue (also pool blue?) with nickel hardware and one in red
8. A skinny flight bag in British Tan
9. A large plaza in British Tan
10. A Bleecker shopper in British Tan (Whiskey?)
Co-sign this list!

1. A real oldie, something from the 1960s, a kisslock, striped lining, the whole thing.
2. A couple of Madison top handles (preferably Copley) that are not black, brown or navy.
3. Something from the 90s in unusual bright colors.
4. A large bag - a hobo, Taft, a duffle sac, etc. - in burgundy or cognac (that would be one of the generations of British tan, very orangey)

But given that I am an extreme bottom feeder/cheapskate, I am unlikely to pay the price that those bags command. I do get lucky on EBay every now and then.
And a co-sign to this list too , but even more so too, that I usually won’t pay more than $35-40-ish for a bag. I did pay $85 for a like new red Pocket bag (made a rather low offer, which was accepted immediately, much to my surprise) and non-vintage Ace, also like new.

I've been working on reading both this thread and the rehab thread from the beginning, and the more I read the longer my wishlist gets. I first started looking into vintage Coach bags because I decided I wanted a Willis to rehab, but I got a little sidetracked and still have yet to buy a Willis lol.

1. Court in British Tan, Red, and Black w/nickel hardware
2. Manor in British Tan and/or Red
3. Logan in British Tan
4. Madison Copley in any color
5. Saddlery Bag in British Tan or Grey
6. Hudson in any color
7. Devon in British Tan
8. Madison Pierpont in any color
9. Willis in Black or Grey w/nickel hardware
10. Soft Satchel in Red
Go BT! lol

I am currently enjoying my hodge podge vintage collection. I would really like to rotate around what I have (25-ish, with a bunch in various states of rehab). There are bags at my local flea market so just waiting for an usual bag to show up. I almost always see a black Station bag whenever I go! Work and life are busier so I spend less time on the internet sites looking for a steal/deal.
I am buying vintage Coach catalogues of lately.

But . . . there is a vintage brief bag, seen with a Coach cartouche and NYC Creed, two short handles, turn lock flap pockets on either side with an open middle section , seen in rust and whatever they called camel back then . . .
ETA, ohhh and I forgot there is another drop dead vintage tote I saw for the first time last week, like above but with asymmetrical buckle flaps on each side!
