Hi, Catbird9! I was thinking it’s the Small Shopping Bag Tote #9685 with the sides pulled out.

ETA: I just checked & there are some differences in the catalog photo I have of #9685 & the listed bag.
Me too. I'm wondering if it was a late '80s variation. This 1983 catalog pic says there are 2 zippered pockets inside. The yellow one in the listing only shows an inside slip pocket.

I was looking too. The only thing I could find is that it looks like the bag on her arm and on the floor. View attachment 4354356 the tabs that holds the straps look a bit wider than the 9685.

Yes! Sounds right! I have a #9685 like the catalog photo with 2 interior zippers, skinny tabs, no feet & was made in NYC. The one from Pm has a slip pocket, rounder tabs, feet & has a made in the US creed. It looks like the photo CR posted (with the sides pushed out). Funny because I have always thought that was an old(er) photo!

I think that's is an older photo and those are the earlier (70s) Cashin bags. The one on the floor looks like it has the striped lining and possibly feet on the bottom.

All good points. I hope someone will chime in here with more info!

There was a bag like this in pink that Hyacinth recently authenticated, she called it a Retro Dinky Shopping Bag #9001

I was just going to suggest that it was part of the 1991 Retro release.

Thanks for clearing that up. Yes, I found it. Post 33816 in the authentication thread from January 15th. Thanks again [emoji5]l
