Thank you! I knew, somebody in here could help when google fails.

If you like that bag silhouette, you might also look for a Madison Bristol Dome Satchel 4412, made in Italy in 1996. You can see pics of one that I bought several years ago at the link below. Hyacinth said that it was in the 1996 Spring catalog and originally sold for $388.

And here's a couple of pics of the bag in other colors. The dimensions of my red bag are: Dimensions: 13" wide, 10" tall (center), 5.25" deep.

I know right! I could buy a much higher end preloved bag for $500. Not that I would, I think I fell in love with vintage Coach’s simplicity and quality. I’d probably spend that 500 to get more vintage Coach. LOL! The ability to be washed is really a BIG plus for me. I never really owned Designer bags that costs thousands of dollars so I don’t have a point of comparison.
I have a few designer bags I got cheap. I have a Balenciaga that retailed over $1000 that I got for $40 at a Goodwill. I have a Bottega Veneta that retailed for over $900 that I paid $75 for on ebay. I have Reed Krakoff that retailed for $1400 that I got when he went out of business for $220. I'd say the leather on the Reed Krakoff is the nicest leather ever. What is really weird about it is that it never gets scratched or worn-looking but is soft and supple. The BV has really thick pebbled leather but it is susceptible to nicks. The color doesn't go all the way through, so the nicks look light. The Bal is super soft. The leather is thinner but ages beautifully.

I did a comparison awhile ago on the rehab thread of a 90s Gucci and a Coach Gramercy from the same period. The Coach had more nice details, held up better, and rehabbed better. I've had 90s Fendis that turned to powder on the inside. I don't there is a brand that holds up better with age than Coach, although I don't have experience with Hermes and Chanel (other than a 90s coin purse), so they might.

That’s a lovely shape of bag! Very similar to a Dooney I once had...

Thank you for your insight. That’s probably the only way I would end up with a Designer Bag that retails for thousands. It is getting harder to find them in thrift stores though. It is specially hard because a lot of fake items gets donated and they don’t really sort through them. I got a fake Station Bag from Mercari in really great condition. I could only tell when I looked at the creed and felt the leather. Visually, anyone could have been fooled. I did not return it as I got it for cheap and did not want to go to the hassle and just left a negative review and charge it to experience. Never buy without seeing the creed. I murdered that bag for the hardware and tossed it in the trash. The parts are sitting in my drawer if I ever need them.

Yes, thank you. It is the shape that I liked. It kinda reminds me of LV’s Alma. I am digging myself into a deeper hole from reading this thread. But hey, I could be addicted to something worse. LOL!

I remember once upon a time running around for Beanie Babies! I asked one of my brothers, should I be embarrassed? He said, hey, your not collecting knives so I really don’t care (we happenening to be in front of the TV ,flipping through a gazillion channels and paused where HSN was showcasing fancy, serious knives for an hour!) so it’s all perspective as far as I’m concerned.
