I feel like I have used up my allotment of good fortune *for now* around buying light color bags online. I still feel like I dodged a bullet with shiny tote, that the stains came out despite what ever it was treated with.
And while it is beautiful, I would probably be over concerned about keeping it good looking and be constantly wiping it.
You are stronger than me, I keep looking at listings, telling myself I am just looking for a bag on my HG list. Then I see something not on my list that is interesting, and buy it lol.

Well, my Bancroft bag arrived! I am in luuuv! Again I do not know how I lucked into this, other than pity from the Bag Gods as to my geography and the happening Goodwills. An amazing warm and golden BT, and aside from the scrape on the handle, minimal signs of use. So dreamy! And big! A big sister to my BT 20170912_192315.jpg 20170912_192330.jpg 20170912_192348.jpg Oliver. As soon as I spiff her up a little, I will take pics of them together. But no strap! Which I will need. I can borrow a tabac off my convertible clutch in the short run, but I will a replacement. I am open to ideas about thinking out of the box on this one. Any ideas?

Guitar strap? One of the wider ones.

@K.E.W. great job! I always wondered how long you could put up with that pretty obstacle in the way of getting into the bag! I still love your satchel even without the chalk and gray belt on top! What are you going to do with the parts removed? Any plans for them? I do think the chalk color goes great with the other two colors. Maybe you can add a chalk hangtag to keep the original color block look?

Thx! I'll probably trash the removed parts because they're virtually useless now. The chalk and grey belt DID give the bag more character, but at what price, lol? I might as well have crazy-glued the zipper opening shut. :giggle:

I'll find some fun ways to add character back to the look, including getting a really cool guitar strap. And, I'm swimming in a variety of Hangtags to use -- glad you like it!

That combo sounds gorgeous! So the gold strap would make the purse's gold trim really pop! What is the purse's silhouette?
It's this purse, Poppy Sapphire Spotlight. I hated the cheap strap that came with it and chopped it off. Even though it is a Poppy, the leather is absolutely gorgeous.
