Yep, for me, if it is brand new it would just sit in the box. Who am I to dirty a bag after it has stayed pristine for nearly 40 years?Me too. I know I'd be afraid to carry it though. (That little Spring 1981 catalog would be fun to see.)

Oh that is beautiful! And still in the box! Who does that?! I would be terrified to use it, but it is so perfect and pretty. I really want to see the inside of that catalog though - I think it might have a pic of one of my nyc bags that I am dying to know the actual name of.Ohhh, I so would if only I didn’t already have other similar bags. But maybe someone here wants to enjoy this beauty. I wonder how much it will go for. It warms my heart to know bags like this are still around. Without a BIN of $400.00.

Lol , I guess I am a user! I would use it. Now I would be careful. All my adult life, I have been very utilitarian with bags. And now, after indulging myself in a lot of Coach, mostly vintage and almost vintage, over the last two years, I find myself wanting to use rather than collect. I started out a few years ago looking for bags to rehab. When I stumbled onto a BT Oliver in like new condition, for $26 no less, I was fascinated with the idea of being able to have vintage Coach bags in excellent condition. And then to learn they are out there, with the question being , how much do I want to spend.Oh that is beautiful! And still in the box! Who does that?! I am like that too. I only buy bags I’d actually carry, even if occasionally. I am now thinking of selling off a couple of small bags because I don’t use them anymore.Lol , I guess I am a user! My current goal is to rotate through and use all my bags. I am loving my like new red Pocket Bag and BT Oliver. An a very good used Bancroft. I am careful, you can bet, but I would be too with an apricot Swagger! So as much as I love a successful rehab, I love a moderately priced like new vintage Coach. I’ll take the chance of dings and stains. That is my version of living dangerously lol lol. YMMV!
I have a problem even when I buy new current bags. Cutting the tags seems so final. It takes me a while to get up the courage to do it.Lol , I guess I am a user! I would use it. It is not briefcase size. It holds its shape well. It is good when want to bring my iPadair and or tabket and or a book or a few files. Then if I don't want to bring a purse, I can slip a wallet into the zipper compartment. Mine is a mildly distressed Mocha so I am not worried about stains lol. I will be going away for a few days so it will be perfect for my electronics and chargers. It reminds me of a briefcase. How do you use this bag?
Good to know. I'll have to see if I can find one to look at IRL. I was just saying I want to throw away a smaller fabric bag I have used if I just want to take my macbook pro, a book and a wristlet with me to the coffee shop. I don't want to bring a larger tote but just something smaller that would still protect my laptop AND not be super heavy. It is not briefcase size. It holds its shape well. Depending on the measurements, it could be a Soft Satchel #4055 (I don't have a picture) or a Soft Satchel Large #4060:View attachment 4153286

From my “to be “and “already rehabbed” stack....my IPad Air fits ever so nicely in the black domed rolled handled satchel...(not exactly sure of her name)..part of the reason I. LOVE that bag.(see pic) And she is so very comfy on my shoulder!! Now she just need a good bath!!
Cute satchel! I like the charm too. It adds a nice touch. The Coach Baxter bag. Circa 1992-1994. Made in the United States. I love satchels and this silhouette in particular. Very classic and chic in my opinion. It will go with everything. This Baxter is like new and, for me, the perfect every day bag. I added a little modern purse bling. Love ❤️ It!View attachment 4154106
