i don't know but I've thought of doing something like this with trashed bags. Pencil case? I once cut a really really messed up bag's creed out and made a bookmark out of it.
i have one that i use for pencils and sketching supplies. i guess it didnt occur to me that somebody might sew it into a fake bag, although i suspect it would be really hard to do a credible job of it. i salvage all the parts of a trashed bag -- the brass buckles, the strap, the pocket.

Anyone here bid on this auction? I don’t understand how it ended and was relisted right away for the
b. I. N. ? That’s legal to do on eBay???
There is no rule against it. Maybe the seller thinks the winner won't pay, or maybe the seller has already cancelled the transaction because she wasn't happy with the outcome of the auction. She will have to pay final value fees and risks getting negative feedback from the winning bidder.

or maybe the buyer had buyers remorse and cancelled the final bid? doesnt that happen sometimes, that somebody bids on a bag but doesnt want it and so cancels?

It really takes all the fun out of an auction. I can’t believe the nerve to re-list so quickly. Reminds me of the burgundy/red Light Tote I lost because seller didn’t like the auction end.
I think it’s still for sale out there....Karma.

If you have a field bag, what do you use mostly for? I had the Berkeley one and then never used it so I sold it. I felt it was a little bit big on my 5' frame. Now I see the leather one in newer version and I am tempted again. Talked me in or out. Lol.

what does the new one look like? they made a field bag abuot 5 years ago, similar to the carrier; i preferred the carrier. i use my carriers, swags and musettes all the time, but mostly for work [laptop; books; notes, etc]. i couldnt live without them!!!

i didnt realize they're making it again. i didnt like this style as much, in part because i prefer a top handle. one of the problems with the bleecker field bag as well. i find the handle indispensable for a quick grab and go. also it's much more boxy looking than the classic 'carrier' or 'musette', but that's a 'thing' of mine, since i don't care for the overall silhouette. i'm definitely biased.

I'm thinking if I didn't use it suede, I probably won't use it in leather either for being the exact same thing. Unless it is not as heavy as the vintage one. [emoji848]

Anyone know if the new one weighed less than the vintage one?
