The original Dinky was introduced in 1973. The colors available for that version changed slightly over the years, depending on when it was manufactured.

The Dinky species currently in production were released with the last couple of years (I don't have files on these). These come in a variety of colors and finishes, including the tea rose versions.

So the answer to your original question, "What colors was the dinky released in?" depends on which Dinky generation you are asking about.

Thank you for replying to my comment. I should have been more specific with my question, sorry. I was wondering if it came in Sage or any other green- before the newer ones. I must've been thinking about the Pocket Purse at first.

I have one in green. I don't know if it's sage or olive. It's ancient, made in NYC.

Sage was the name of the early green, I believe. I've never seen one, but it's on my wish list.

Here are my sage ladies:
pre creed suede shoulder pouch, NYC dinky and crescent bags. I only have the one hang tag between the 3 of them and it's a very nice hangtag I think. I'm not sure my phone camera quite captures the green accurately but I think the photos of the cartouche and creed give a more accurate color. They are a light shade of olive.

I am rehabbing this pre creed kisslock right now. Of course it was listed as black but is actually blue. I wouldn't even call it navy, it's not that dark. I really don't understand why sellers can't tell black from blue Anyway, all the brass coating is gone from the kisslock and the clips on the straps. Also the clips on the straps seem really cheap and flimsy. Are they the original ones for this bag? I have a navy convertible clutch thingy with a similar style strap but with the usual clips I may use instead just because these seem weak and I don't really like how they look either. Does anyone have any suggestions for how to get the kisslock a little brass coating? I know I have seen that stuff called rub n buff but I see it has mixed reviews as to whether its good on metal. It's a cool bag, I love it! I considered returning it since I really do want a kisslock bag that is black but I decided it was too awesome.

Here are the results from the Vintage Patina paint that was mentioned a while back. The color is perfect, but unfortunately, it doesn't hold up to use. I've carried this bag for about 3 days, and it's already chipped off, and rubbing off onto the leather. [emoji53] I sanded the ring a little to help the paint stick, and sealed it with the finish that is part of the Vintage line, and let it sit/ cure for over a month. I'm going to try sealing it with clear nail polish next. I had no luck with the Rub n Buff either. If you find the miracle product, please share! Your bag is awesome, even as it is!IMG_1511306447.084367.jpg

This is good to know. I will likely not bother doing anything to it. Actually the only brass left on it is on the zipper teeth and the bead chain with the hangtag attached. I could possibly just switch the bead chain out for silver and make out it's all silver hardware.
