I purchased this bag (it'll be vintage come November) and it arrived today. The leather is very shiny and I'm wondering, was there something different about the leather that was used in Italy? It's the only Duffle Sac that has this sheen and a distinctive "Squeak" to the leather.

It might have been treated with something. It looks too shiny.

Does anybody know anything about this bag? I know it isn't a briefcase since it doesn't zip up. I bid on it because I think it will come up beautiful after a wash and oil.. HOPE it will since it was no steal. I thought it might make a good work bag:

I rehabbed one of those. It is a great small tote bag. You may not know what color it is until after you rehab it. Mine was a dramatic transformation.

Wow! That's beautiful! Yours did go much much darker. It looks to be a similar color to mine. Do you think that's mocha? What kind of conditioner did you use on it? It look spectacular!

I think it is probably mocha. I used Leather Therapy on it, then finished with Black Rocks. It was really, really dry. It took numerous coats of Leather Therapy to get the leather back to being nice and supple.

She's here now, and she is lovely - the suede is so soft and spotless too.
