@rkiz it wasn't me. Lol! Question since I'm new to eBays selling process. Does anyone ever find out what offer was accepted or did it sell at $400?
For "best offer accepted" sales, you can ascertain the approximate sale price by doing an advanced search on "COACH" + "sold listings" and set if for a desired price range, "from highest," and seeing between which adjacent known sales values it falls. In this case, a buyer ponied up the $400 + shipping.

ETA: I see my slow fingers again renders the above input as redundant.

ETA2: And for $400+, I hope that the buyer doesn't receive a crispy critter. The mentioning of a hard spot that potentially was caused by a cleaner is worrisome insofar as chemically dried leather is often problematic as the leather can be dried past the point of no return where no amount of soaking and conditioning can resuscitate it.

I just saw the zipper pics in the other thread and was eager to know what kind of bags they were. Gorgeous. I have a slimmer version, the shoulder sac in British tan and a black duffle about the same size in black from the lightweight collection. I need to get it authenticated and get a style 411 on it.
I am really feeling it for your deep green bag . . . lol
and the putty/tabac

I do have a related question about eBay or online protocol (if such a thing exists!) but I guess now it is more of an eBay auction question. . Is it against the policies of eBay to ask a seller to lower their starting bid? I have pondered this as an auction is winding down and there are no bids. Of course, someone may be waiting to put in a last minute bid and be willing to pay the starting bid. Just wondering.

I'm flattered! My favorite bags are the 9085 Duffle Sacs - I try to find them in good condition for the best possible price. We shall see if I end up keeping the green - have to assess where it would fit with my wardrobe, plus it's more of a winter color.

Honestly, I went a little vintage Coach crazy over the last few months...

Some sellers might be insulted. Many sellers set their starting bid at the least amount they are willing to sell it for. When I see an auction with a higher start price, no matter how much I want it, I usually won't bid until the end. What if I see another one listed cheaper or at a BIN in the meantime? (That happened to me and I couldn't take advantage of the BIN because I was winning the auction at the time. Then I lost the auction and the BIN was snatched up by someone else.) If it doesn't sell, you could contact them and ask them if they would be willing to negotiate a lower price.

You are not the only one. I am embarrassed to even do a head count.

Thanks for helping me think that through. I tried to put myself in the seller's shoes. It does seem better to wait until after the auction is ended. Then for sure, no one was interested in the starting bid price. And I do see people on here sell so now I feel a little awkward for suggesting it. Well, better to know now, before doing it.

I agree with whateve about contacting the seller when the auction ends if it hasn't sold. I've done that before and the seller was kind enough to work with my offer. If you ask mid auction, they may find it off-putting and might block you.

I did contact a seller about a bag that I wanted. I had emailed him about a lower price at which I got the same bag in red and he thought I got it for a steal but couldn't let it go for that price. I don't blame him as the bag was in excellent condition and probably never used. He replied with an offer but it was still a bit more than I wanted to pay. So the offer expired. Then I watched the bag go way up and down again but never at what I wanted to pay. Then I emailed him again with a little higher offer and this time he accepted! It only takes one person who wanted it and that was me!
