This gives me a great idea of what to make with some old bags I have!I've never seen this before but it appears to be a bookmark made from Madison leather.

Interested in this bag - wondering why it's brown inside and black outside? It's been authenticated. View attachment 3670178View attachment 3670179
In all likelihood it was a brown bag that was dyed (colored) black. Possibly this was done to either resolve exterior stains that couldn't be addressed adequately to the then owner's satisfaction, or someone just wanted a black and not brown bag. Changing the color to a basic dark color (such as black, dark brown, or even navy) is not a challenging task and when done well can produce uniform end results. Why they elected to not dye the suede interior black to match remains a question though. Perhaps they didn't wish to expend the effort, preferred the lighter interior, of just didn't feel like procuring suede dye. Regardless, as I'm confident the authenticators would agree, altering a color does not impact the authenticity, just the appearance, even if purists would frown upon such actions.Interested in this bag - wondering why it's brown inside and black outside? Gorgeous. I am connecting with these bags! The new to me courier baby twin arrived yesterday and I took a family portrait on the couch. The new one I am going to wash despite it's great condition as it has a kind of a dirty look about the color and seems pretty dry too. You can see it doesnt have the shine of my others that i have rehabbed and treated with obenauf's and blackrocks. It is perfectly shaped though... It has some verdigris on the strap I know I can clean off easily with vinegar and baking soda so that's what has made my mind up about whether to bathe it or not.. Anyway, so here's the family:

Another family photo! Introducing my little Dakota family! Top row from left: meet Ranger, Rider and Cassidy. Bottom row from right: Cartwright, Fargo and unknown. I haven't ask to identify yet. So if you know what this bag is called LMK! Enjoy!
I haven't cleaned any of them! What are supposed to do to make them look better? View attachment 3670366
Yes the usual zippered pocket. There's a back pocket too! View attachment 3670375
It's pretty tiny though! My phone barely fits in side ways. It's only 7.5" wide! Thanks for the pic! I will have to keep my eye out for one these these [emoji6]

The new baby looks great as is, so I bet it'll be spectacular when you dunk it.

I have the one in the middle with the handle on the top in blue. I love it! And I have one of the ones in the front row but in olive green. They are both very useful bags.My Sheridan family needs birth control! Lol. I still would like to own Elliot but I don't know who to give up to make room for him. View attachment 3670416
