Wow! What a great collection! I love the red ones especially.

One on the right is coral. I think it's called Lindy and I am not sure if it's authentic since it has a Creed patch but not a stamp. I couldn't get the seller to respond my request for a better pic of the creed and went ahead and bought it. I hope I don't regret it.

Ok ladies, how do I make these look better? Can I use black rock on these?

I have one like the one on the extreme right, in mustard. I bathed it even though it has a black lining.

I used to get Blackrocks from my shoe repair shop. They stopped carrying it, and then I found it at a saddlery and bought all that they had - three or four jars.

It's a retro Lindy 1991 remake of the original Bonnie Cashin design. It is authentic.

Thank you! How do I get the brass to shine? They look like they were gold plated. How can I make them look gold again?

The really old ones have a very thin brass plating and shining them will sometimes bring you down to the base metal. I usually use vinegar to be safe, but I have also used Flitz and Brasso. You can get vigorous with polishing, sometimes I'll use fine steel wool, but you have to be careful that you don't remove the finish. I think you can be fairly vigorous on the twin clutch.

Equal favourite with the watermelon tote. A large Plaza Court in mahogany from the 80's. I didn't need to do anything except apply some Black Rock. Coach sent me the brass hangtag which suits her size perfectly.

Has anybody had trouble requesting tags for their vintage bags? I have requested twice, last year and this year, Coach asked for the creed numbers from the purse, and I never received them, both times

I requested one this summer. It took probably 6 weeks to get via USPS. They sent a brass one.
