So the red Attache that was sold for $60 on etsy apparently was bought by a flipper. And unfortunately, out of the tens of thousands of listings that I scan each week, somehow I managed to miss this one:

Whoever the buyer was, congratulations on picking up a real treasure and a still excellent price.

I wish that I had a private shopper who would notify me when any pre-creed COACH items with striped fabric linings appear online!

And I too watched the asking price for the Swag bag on eBay get revised from $1,075 to $1,400 to $1,500 during the short amount of time it was listed. Must have been interesting behind-the-scenes action going on there. Will volunteer that I'm not particularly a fan of the style (though when traveling I regularly use the #9800 Carrier I have). Something about the proportions and the rounded lower corners. Now if it had been a Mail Sac....

I noticed the seller misspelled Cashin as "Cashim". If my search term was Cashin I would have missed it. I did spot that one but assumed you would have seen it too. Next time.... ;)

Thanks. Hopefully there'll be other similar chances to snag examples the few styles remaining on my short-list at a bargain price. Having missed out on the last few opportunities that have appeared and slipped past, I'm feeling discouraged. Amazing what one letter will do.

Hello everyone. Just came out of the work shop where I was working on trying to save a CashinCarry for COACH Large Shopping Bag. It really is the leather equivalent of a regular brown paper bag, albeit with handles. But I've been wondering. Does anyone know if a venue exists for "serious" collectors to trade gems from their respective collections? I believe that one of the sites (where it seems many fake bags go to get recycled, but who am I to say) has that ability, but it's not a party that I'd elect to attend, so to speak.

Maybe I'm old fashioned, but once upon a time in the collectibles world, trading with like-minded enthusiasts was a popular way to manage one's holdings. Over the years, I've amassed pretty sizable collection of pre-creed items. But there still remain a handful of styles I'd like to add to it. Unfortunately for me, those rarely (if ever) turn up. Also, I've several duplicates that I somewhere along the line acquired (sometimes just to deprive the more notorious "flippers" the opportunity to gouge) that I'd like to find good homes for. So if anyone out there knows of a COACH vintage collectors club that perhaps provide a vehicle for doing this, I'd appreciate hearing from you.

Thanks.
