Hi ladies, I received my Madison Gracie bag n I'm very impressed with the condition of the bag. The leather is so different from my other Coach vintage. What leather is used on Madison's range?
Oh my Gracie is structured n so lady like! [emoji7] I can't wait to bring her out for dinner date with hubby
Wow, that's wonderful! I haven't seen the movie since I started paying attention to the purses characters were carrying.10/21/2015
"Back to the Future" Day!
I just re-watched the "Back to the Future" Movie. Near the end, back in 1985, when Marty sees his parents, his mom is carrying a Coach Basic Bag! I had carried that vintage British Tan bag today! After my OMG moment, my family agreed that it is a pretty neat coincidence!![]()

Probably around 1964.Yes! I had watched that movie countless times & also hadn't payed attention to purses. Last night though, when they were back in 1955, a purse thought did pass through my mind... What year is known for the earliest Coach women's purses?
Probably not a Coach. I love that ladylike look. Once in awhile, someone will post in the celebrity thread about a Coach purse spotted in a movie or TV show. I remember someone saw a Bonnie Cashin kisslock in Mary Tyler Moore or Rhoda.Cool!
Yesterday when I was out and about, carrying my Classic Pouch (#9170 made in NYC), I saw another woman carrying a beautiful Stewardess bag from about the same time period. What are the chances???
We could probably start a whole thread about purses spotted in movies! (Maybe there is one already?)
Lately I've been somewhat obsessed with the handbag carried by Eva Marie Saint in "North by Northwest." (Purses are a significant prop in many Hitchcock films.) I don't know if it's a Coach, but that classy, elegant black domed satchel is simply timeless:
I was just coming on here to post about the same thing! I went and saw "Back to the Future" last night on the big screen and there at the end of the movie, the "cooler" version of Marty's mom walked in carrying a Coach bag! I figured I had to share with other enthusiasts10/21/2015
