Shirley is finished! She arrived on Thursday and what an easy rehab. I liked her when I bought her. Now I absolutely love her! She makes me want chocolate though.

Thank you Whateve, it was like finding a gift. It's black, now I need a Tan one. ;)

I saw a Sonoma 4924, is that a desirable find? The seller wouldn't send a photo of the creed, but finally said it was NUD7M4924 Costa Rica. :smile1:

I have several Sonomas and I really like them. The nubuc can be a bit more work to care for but nubuc kits are easily available. They have that the local Walmart here. The Sonomas have nice, thick pebbly leather and they're smooshy too.

Wow, she's gorgeous! I love mahogany!

4924 is a Pocket zip. I have two of them, well sort of; one of mine is nubuc. It's a very nice style. It has a lot of compartments so it keeps you organized but may not hold quite as much as other bags because of all the sections. My red one has the same creed number.

Congratulations on finding that Swag! That and the Postman's bag are on my dream bag list. You were so lucky to find that Swag in such wonderful condition. I own a Musette, purchased in like new condition, for which I paid dearly. I absolutely love carrying it.

Thanks for the 4215 post and the nice, big photo from the 1978 catalog. Mine is much smaller. :-) In case anyone is still wondering, it has wonderful pockets - double gusseted on the outside front (like a Musette) and flat ones on the inside right behind the front ones. On the inside back of the bag, there is a full length open pocket with a smaller one on the front of it. It is a great bag to own and I would buy a second one in a heartbeat.

Thanks, Whateve. I can't quite decide if she's mahogany or mocha. She has elements of both. I think, technically, she's mocha but a very rich mocha. :-)

Confusion on color.......please help!!! Now I know it's not an earth-shattering problem but I would love to know the true color of my new vintage Rambler.
I'll include some photos but after seeing some of the coach hang tag colors I admit to being totally confused.
I thought the bag was British Tan but now I'm wondering if it's actually Tabac.
Any opinions are welcome here.....

I believe it's British Tan. Tabac is darker and a bit muddier. I bought a Tabac basic bag in the 80s from Neiman Marcus. In fact, I still have it.

I think you could go crazy trying to figure out tan colors. I looked at my 4 British Tan bags and they all look a little different. The Delancy Drawstring I posted recently is definately a darker, more brown color. Your Rambler is gorgeous, whatever. I really like the tassel, going to add some to a few of my bags?

Lol, this made me laugh......you're right of course......drive myself crazy trying to figure it out. Especially after putting on conditioner, etc. the color can look a bit different than how it started.
Thanks, I'll enjoy her no matter what her color is 'officially' called:happydance:
