I don't know why I've never posted this great little bag but here are some pix. I've had it about three years and for some reason have done nothing with it, It's Navy, in really good shape, and I haven't even conditioned the leather! It's got a detachable strap, coach stamp on the leather inside and is nice and soft. Don't know why I set it aside, as I recall I was going out of town and had to leave for the airport the day I received it so I opened the package and put it away. For some reason I find this almost black dark navy boring, and maybe that's it?

Anyway it's a cool bag and I've only seen one or two of them before. I know nothing about it-slightly bigger than the double kisslock we see so much of and even the kisslock frame seems slightly bigger. Would be a really handy style to grab and go so I guess I need to start grabbing it!

She thinks any of the BC styles with kiss locks are ugly. She once asked if she could borrow my orange pre-creed Penny with eyelets and didn't understand why I said no. Now she's got her eye on a double sided turn lock satchel that I plan on rehabbing soon. Also pre-creed. Guess what the answer will be? :nogood: Maybe when she doesn't use her floor as a wardrobe (aka closet) I might change my mind :laugh:

I have this bag in this color and also one in parchment with the leather covered kisslock and no lining. I kind of think the lined with metal tags are older but do we know that?

It just seems like the two or three bags that have the metal tags are older than the leather stamped coach logo. It's not a condition thing so I can't put my finger on why, but it just does.

Thanks. Mine has the striped lining and the metal tag, just like yours, but also has leather covering them. My oldest bag doesn't have leather straps at all. I've seen some basic bags where the leather covering on the strap wore out but some of these look like they never had leather there at all.

I think the metal tags are older than the leather stamped logo, mostly because we see the metal tags on some very old styles. The oldest bags seem to have a Bonnie Cashin metal tag and no Coach tag at all. So it seems like a logical progression to change to the Coach metal tag from there. The metal tag would have been the easiest to install if the bag was lined, but for unlined bags, I think the stamped logo might have been preferable. Maybe they found the metal tags didn't stay well in the leather, so they might have been using both around the same time but preferred the stamp for all leather bags.

It has leather wrappings. I think the black lining came later than the striped.
