Edit: l know the Salearea guide says plants in older bags can have letters or numbers. This is the oldest one I've noticed with a plant number instead of letter.

Yes, that's what the codes mean.
One of the Turkish plants was using plant code 2 right around the same time. China started using the "3" code around 2000, the "5" code around 1999 and the Zero code around 2003, and Turkey was apparently using the "2" code as early as 1996. Those are the earliest dates I've archived, but it's possible they may have started a year earlier.

Were these India creeds made in 2006 with the 9 factory code, rather than 2000 with the 69 factory code?

Interesting. I've only got one pre-2013 made in China bag, which was manufactured in April of 2000 with a J plant code. This is not enough of a sample size to base anything around. I shall have to acquire more samples...

I've never seen such early India creeds or codes before. Veeerrrrry interesting. I'm assuming the rest of the bags check out ok?

2000 would be much too early for any bags from India, so they'd have to be from 2006, Coach started using 2-number plant codes some time after the middle of 2006 so those would just fit into that timeframe. The other India codes I've seen are slightly newer and both have two numbers instead of one. A 2-number factory code would never have been used in 2000.

Were any of the made-in-the-US Patricia's made in red or green? Or just the more recent versions. I really want a colored one but they all seem to be from the 2000's. If that's the case I'll stop waiting for an older one.
