This book is different than “The factory, portrait of a leathergoods factory in downtown New York City” by Jeremy Lezin right? I’ve been searching and searching for a copy of The Factory but I am curious about this one and am considering buying it, especially if you think it’s a good addition for a Coach collector:smile:

Edit: I bought it, curiosity got the best of me! Excited to receive it and page through.
Yes, it is not The Factory. Keep your eye out for it, it comes up for auction now and then. I found mine on eBay. The Factory is mostly photos of the Coach employees and leather workers. Haha and piles of bags in progress. If you go to the Reference Subforum and look at the vintage catalog thread/photos, the vast majority of photos from The Factory are in the catalogs!
I do enjoy my copy of Coach , a Story … and I hope you like yours too. Fun read. A small section is devoted to very vintage styles and it’s great. Buying it was like buying a bag.

Yes, it is a great price! I paid a little more for mine. Somebody recently paid A LOT more on an online auction!
Mine is not exactly hard cover. It’s more like a paper back covered in fabric. The quality is there. It comes in a nice heavy box type sleeve? cover? , so it can be stored upright without the sag.
Edited to add, the are comments indicating it comes with the cover …
That sounds similar to the book (in a slipcover) that I purchased online a while back. Mine appears to never have been read/used, but I've enjoyed the wealth of photos in it! If I needed another book (ha!), I'd purchase the one Coach is offering just to compare the two.

$600, wow. Why is the Winnie so $$$ on the pre-loved market? Hard to come by, limited run? Because it’s cute?
It wasn’t exactly cheap when I came on the vintage scene, say a bit over 6 years ago. And I could say that for several desirable styles, like the Plaza and Courier. But over the past several years prices have gone a whole new level of crazy pants. For hot and not so hot bags!

How many times am I going to kick myself for selling mine for $95!!!

When I started out, I wasn't picky. I bought everything I liked even a little bit. Things were affordable back then.
Lol…same here. It was definitely easier to feed our addiction to vintage coach and try out new styles when the brand was out of fashion and undervalued. It was like a secret club and an enjoyable treasure hunt for us members when getting new bags.

I received this bag today and I really really cannot figure out what color it is, seller couldn't either. It's either green or navy I think. Dark gray? It looks completely different in different lighting settings. Any opinions or ideas to figure it out would be appreciated. I really think it looks green on the outside and navy on the inside but I don't think it was dyed.
