Welcome Autumn Equinox and boy, the midAtlantic got the memo. Real honest to goodness fall weather today. So I start out with a russet Berk Zip today. And I love the hint of rust in the late day sun. I know, the light is low, will make sure to get them earlier in the day. Also showing one of my favorites, BT Oliver that I was in most of the week.

So pretty!! I now regret passing up a russet Janice a few weeks ago. Dang it. Yesterday was cloudy all day but today looks bright and beautiful! I have to dig up all my potatoes today because it's going to get really cold at night next week. Maybe I'll stage a harvest photo. Although it would be a lot cuter with a basket of apples instead of a basket of dirty potatoes.... Either way. I'll try for today!

Good point. And when you get a BT that is very distressed, then rehab with a variety of conditioners, and that puts the comparison off too.

eta, I need to update the BT family!
Do you ever use that Bancroft? I just love how classy it looks. I'm watching one on Mercari but I have no real need or use for one, I just really want one. The Winnie, too. I want one just to have one even though I'll never actually carry it unless I get a microscopic cell phone. Sigh. So jealous. :girlsigh:

Posting the drilldown pic of my favorite Fall bag that I just dug out this morning, Large Soho Suede Corset Duffle, 12x13 inches, TWO big back pockets, one on the outside and a fully-lined one on the "inside" behind the main compartment like the Patricia's Legacy, in Rust, G3S-9486. It's almost a year away from being vintage but the color is delicious, same as the drilldown photo.

Changed my mind many many times which bag to take with me to the 2 weeks road trip to Albuquerque NM starting tomorrow, that will go through Denver there and Great fall back. Was going to take the light weight flap shoulder bag 4050, then today settled for this up cycled court instead. Never used it after adding tearoses to it, felt the appliqués just bottom heavy . Recently I find a perfect twilly to wrap up the handle, everything serms more balanced to me now.

It's beautiful!

ETA: for the tearose on the turnlock, is it attached to the bag or does the turnlock hold it in place?

Coach used the names British tan and mahogany over many years and the dyes were different in different years. You can't really compare one BT to another or one mahogany to another. I like the versions that have some red in them.
Thank you @whateve, this makes sense, and explains all the BT colors I have found. I thought maybe the BT's were often wildly different because not all leathers absorbed the dye in the same way. So the quest for a BT is truly moot, it's just what appeals to me.

Thank you @Lake Effect for the taste of BT :). The color on all your bags looks about the same, with just a bit of shading, and resembles "advertised" BT's very marginally. I truly think that often sellers really do not know what the color of their bags is and so call all brown bags BT :) You have some really beautiful bags !!!! The top one being my fave :)

I do use the Banny. I have been rotating all my larger bags when I go to the office once a week. In fact, the last time I had it out, I thought it needed conditioning as the piping was showing the faint signs of wear. It was in very very good condition when I bought it. I never dunked it, just a wipe down. Just a mark, like a weird drip on it, no biggie. And it did have a heavy perfume scent, which faded, thank goodness. But I got if for a steal. The seller's pics were not well focused, other that the shot of the creed, which gave me a BT vibe. It was listed as a brown Bancroft iirc. It didn't have the strap. So I was posting about how I would order something neat off of Etsy. Then the next day, I found the matching strap for $20! Never followed up with the custom Etsy strap.
Good luck getting the phablet into a Winnie! But given you have found so many delicious bags, I have no doubt you stumble across a Winnie.

Why thank you Tilis! That City is a shade darker; it is very distressed as you can see on a close up. I'll see if I can find a pic. I also have a BT Sling, Buckle Tote (also very distressed) and a BT Plaza large (stain on front, serious lean - plan on redunking). And ... I have something little en route, it may be BT! Will keep you posted.

Pretty please!!! Or you could do the inspired concrete front doorstep photo shot! With a random leaf or two.

We were at National Historic Trails Interpretive Center located at Casper Wyoming this morning, a fascinating place to visit. What might related to Vintage Coach is the Pony Express Trail which was running in 1860 to 1861. It was an expressed mail service then delivered by horseback riders. Can’t help but wondering if this was what inspired the design of the Coach Pony Express bag.
