Ugh I have that seasonal disorder that hits really hard in the fall. It’s where I want to see and believe bags like this are really rust. And like I don’t already have a few project bags. SMH
Help me friends. Somebody buy the bag, rehab it and tell me it was not rust. Problem solved.
Agree. Does not look like rust to me

I have to get some CPR out. You do have the more stunning collection! Whenever the mod strikes you. Will def have time by this weekend for a photo op  if not sooner. Just my two rusties. May have to throw in my HG saddle Shopping Bag and BT Carrier, for, well, just because …
It's supposed to be rainy and cloudy tomorrow so I'll try for Saturday or Sunday.

Welcome Autumn Equinox and boy, the midAtlantic got the memo. Real honest to goodness fall weather today. So I start out with a russet Berk Zip today. And I love the hint of rust in the late day sun. I know, the light is low, will make sure to get them earlier in the day. Also showing one of my favorites, BT Oliver that I was in most of the week.

Thank you for posting this beautiful bag. Early in the hot, hot summer, I got a Berkeley duffle in russet and succeeded in forgetting about it. I will be getting that out to use later this weekend!

The low, setting sun had a lot to do with that came out; it is honestly like BT with a hit a rust under most lighting conditions. If you search for my posts in WCBAYCT, I am sure I snapped it in true lighting. Edited, make that the Holiday Theme Thread. Which probably buried!
And, I'm sorry  !

I have seen bags of many colors advertised, all labeled BT, but not owning anything in BT, I cannot be a judge. There is a warm light brown which I like and also a warm dark brown which I love. I believe that is called mahagony, but not sure. I have looked at the color swatch pictures in the catalogs, but they are no big help. Often when I look at the rehab pics, the original color is a poor shadow of the final result. In this case I do not know if the result is due to the moisturizing of the leather, or the subtle influence of the "lotions" used.

Coach used the names British tan and mahogany over many years and the dyes were different in different years. You can't really compare one BT to another or one mahogany to another. I like the versions that have some red in them.

Good point. And when you get a BT that is very distressed, then rehab with a variety of conditioners, and that puts the comparison off too.
