And I live vicariously through your collection :smile::smile:

Quite frankly I’m surprised House hasn’t figured out she could fund her collection by selling bits of his DNA from say old tooth brushes, hair brushes so we could clone him! Sight unseen, the man has keeper qualities!
My husband is an avid record collector. At one time the collection was valued at more than the cost of our house, so I’ve got a fair bit of wiggle room. :graucho:

There have been some really interesting Couriers and Stewardesses; I have a hard time spendings a few Bens if I can't see it person or feel it first. This should tide me over until I can pull the trigger on one ...
Coach Vintage 813-8201 brown leather shoulder bag or clutch - removable strap | eBay
I really should be cracking open the Renapur on my Ergo:giggle:. I have a nice long weekend, and I suspect I will be hunkering down, doing a ton a posting here. Not like I want to be indoors eating out or shopping.
You are going to make this beauty dazzle LE! Would it be considered a spectator?
So I recently picked this up on eBay. I was struck by the spectator styling on a NYC bag. I did not include the creed, but is stamped made in NYC with registration number. The hardware looked super shiny in the listing, but I just chalked it up to possibly a zealous rehab. And thought, great, less for me to do :giggle: Am I right? So it delivers and it's just so odd, given the age, the wear, that the hardware does not look original. It doesn't look old. I have lots of NYC's to compare to. The hang tag was new, but I initially dismissed it as a later add on.
Then, when I started looking at the hang tag. It is double sided, with a noticeable app of edgecoat around it, like I have on a bag from the mid '00's. Then I remembered reading about people being able to send bags back to Coach for repairs like zippers, new piping etc. My best guess is that this bag was sent back to Coach for a new zipper, piping, side tabs with hardware and a new strap. All of the work is expertly stitched, just like in an original. Inside the bag, I can see a faint line of what might have been verdigris rubbing off from the old zipper.

I kinda like the two tone.

I kinda like the two tone.
I'm digging it too. Going to dunk it tomorrow. But nobody tell House. I'm not finished that second Rambler yet :giggle:

I'll tell you what I'm really digging though, that beautiful cream? ivory? Courier of yours. I know you have posted it. I want to save a pic of it.

eta, went on the Rehab thread and found your post and saved it. Remember there was color out called Stone pre-1994? It gives me that vibe with a hint of yellow. I haven't seen any other bags in that shade! A real find.

I've been waiting for updates! Fascinating that someone would go through all that trouble to repair and then sell it. I am so happy it's rehomed to the perfect place.
