Has anyone ever seen a Sheridan with dark brown trim like this one?

I thought it might be overexposed but the seller describes it as "darkest brown."

I think it's been dyed. That color was never available on the genuine Sheridans. There's a lot of color variation on the stitching too especially on those large pieces on the front of the bag, like it was either redone or the dye wasn't cleaned off completely in spots. And I'd definitely want to see a creed patch.

I am a little bummed with this Logan bag . I paid $111 shipped which is not bad price for a Logan I guess, but upon receiving I found 2 pen marks on the front panel, they are not disclosed in the listing. I also enlarged the photo still can’t see any pen marks , the glares disguised them. If this is your purchase. What will you do?

Flaws like this should have been disclosed regardless of price. Even if things are visible, like the leather missing from the dowel, I think sellers should describe all flaws in the description. I would open up a return request, not as described. If the seller offers a partial refund, you can consider it.

Thanks whateve. I saw it missing leather cap at one end, and figured I can fix that. But pen marks usually won’t come out with rehab. Although it is not as obvious as the photo I took, since the bag is dark color with good patina, the pen marks blended in a bit but still very visible. I would open a return case if I did not want the bag. I am kind of sitting on the fence.

I would ask for a partial refund for the pen marks if you wanna keep it. The seller could say no though. Worth a shot :shrugs:

I second requesting a partial refund for the non-disclosed ink marks. If the seller agrees I really encourage you to try colour refreshing using Meltonian Shoe Cream and Leather CPR. I've been working on 2 BT bags (using the London Tan), plus a large mahogany Bleeker 9314 (using a mixture of London Tan and black). Working with the Meltonian has been such a pleasure! I might be worth a try to cover the ink marks. The Logan is such a beautiful bag. Good luck, Luna! :hugs:

That's good advice and I agree about requesting a partial refund, but before recoloring I suggest just rehabbing the bag to see if the pen marks remain visible. Sometimes flaws become much less noticeable after a bath, conditioning, and an application of Black Rocks.

BTW, your Bleecker is looking great!

Thanks.
Your bag looks so beautiful already, I will definitely try Meltonian on the Logan. But ink is darker that Mahogany, not sure the result will be good of not.
ETA: after read Katev suggestion, I will rehab the Logan first and go from there

EDIT: I asked this before I saw the other posts.. Sorry to be redundant!

Is that exposed wood - the dowel - on the hang tag side of the top part? Why isn’t there leather there?

@LadaZuri Glad you like the Meltonian! Didn’t I tell you it was good stuff?!
@LunaSilver I’d try the Amodex wipes first and then, if needed, try the Meltonian/CPR to cover it up.
