 How close?? I missed being an actual Christmas gift by just over an hour ( I just checked my birth certificate as I couldn't recall if it was over or under). I was due 10 days earlier, so she thought all would be said and done and the family settled in by Christmas day.
The funny part is that I have had some uncanny timing for arriving dramatically at a few family events, to which she would always chuckle and say, What do you expect, she been doing this since the day she was born! Haha.
Ah, you do enjoy showing what you've got ;)
i wasn’t born on Christmas either but close enough. I once had a silly store clerk notice my birth date on my drivers license when I was making a purchase. She asked me how I liked having my birthday so close to Christmas. I told her I’d nothing to compare it to since that’s the only birthday I’d ever had. What a silly question.

Hmm.. wonder if the tides are turning on vintage Coach reselling prices... a BT Winnie in good condition just sold on Ebay for less than $274.. Still a lot, but considering that a mahogany sold for $400+ not too long ago.. gotta wonder if this is a good sign :coolio:
I've been seeing lower prices on a lot of bags. I've seen some great prices that are taking longer to sell than I would expect. Like that mystery blue Janice in lousy condition for around $20.

Check out this listing. A reference to “reloved” just like Coach website. No crossbody strap and bag needs a dunking/reshaping. Totally not worth $555, “sold as is”.

And, they state 1989 in listing with reference to 1993 being the first year Willis was offered. Serial number indicates 2000. Totally messed up. I can’t see the top of the handle to check if it’s tapered.

One thing bothers me about that Willis. The photo of the creed and serial number seems OK, but the photo right before it that shows an overhead pic of the inside of the bag is showing what appears to be the front panel of the inside pocket, but I'm not seeing any stampings on that pocket at all. Even from overhead and at that angle, that creed should be visible in the photo.

I don't know if this link will work, but this is the enlarged photo of that panel. Do you see anything that looks like a creed stamp?

And to change the subject just a bit, if she's describing it in the listing (as well as a few other Coaches) as " Re(Loved) by COACH " and it's actually from that refurbished collection, shouldn't there be some paperwork at least? Or are her "re(loved)" and overpriced Coaches actually SNAD?

Maybe the seller just mixed up photos from 2 different listings. I'm going to see if I can find one.

ETA - No sign of a photo mix-up.

I still can't get over some of those prices, and some her descriptions are WAY off. She has a "re(loved)" Legacy West style 9821 that I don't even have a name for described as from 1995 with a 2001 date code. It looks like there's torn or loose stitching on the inside at the top corner of the lining to the right of the inside pocket zipper. $555, first listed at least 11 months ago, with several revisions of the BIN price since then. Yikes.

I think that photo you’re referring too is just crappy quality. If I look really closely, there seems to be some faint impressions but the photo is such poor quality it’s hard to tell.

As for the Re(Loved) reference, I don’t believe the seller bought this bag as part of the Coach reloved program. I think she’s just presenting her bag in the listing that way to leverage what Coach is doing. It’s kind of like companies that have names that seem to indicate a relationship with the U.S. government when, in fact, there is none.

This makes no sense at all but the Willis $555 bag has been offered to me for 80% off. Seller would be better off starting with a more reasonable price to begin with.

I can't find any copyright statements from Coach for the "re(loved)" description, but if I bought one of hers using that term in the listing and found out that it WASN'T actually refurbished or at least tweaked by Coach, I'd be p!ssed, especially at those prices. And I'd file a SNAD claim so fast it would make her head spin. It's like using Cashin's name in a description of an item that has no connection to her at all. It's a false description that inflates the perceived value of the item.

That Legacy West bag I mentioned that's had the BIN price revised 3 times - it's listed as re(loved) and " SOLD OUT WORLDWIDE!! re(Loved) collection" , I'd like to ask Coach if they have that word and spelling copyrighted - But was originally listed in November 2020 and Coach apparently didn't start using the re(loved) word until April 2021, so she added it to all those bags after she'd bought some or most of them. She's even describing some of them as "Re(Loved Coach Collection". If they're NOT actually from Coach's Magic Rehab Elves, that's false advertising.

I hope someone calls her out on it.

Hey friends....could any of you look out for a Manor which is less than US $50 and ships to NZ...would be interested after seein YouTube Birdybloom talk about it. Never thought I would want one as I am not a fan of bags with a centre zippered compartment...
It is a heavy bag. What color do you want?

I want a classic pouch in red.

That will be a tough order to fill. I’ve got five manors and I think I paid an average of $90.
