Looks like something from the Camden collection if it’s authentic. I can’t seem to narrow it down any further than that, sorry!
No comments since Monday? Is everyone ok :confused1:

I came here to ask if anybody could tell me the name of this bag. TIA.

Thank you all! I see them sometimes, but not enough to know what they're called. Thanks for the pic whatev! I kinda like Ashland and Gilford. Wonder how easy they are to get in and out of with that closure.

You know there are vintage catalogs listed in another thread, right? If you find a bag you like, and you can see the Creed, that will give you a lot of info on how to estimate when it was produced and in what colors.
But yes, even with all that info, it can be a bit of leg work to get an idea of what color a bag is or what colors it was offered in. I find many older colors change with age, wear, the slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, etc, so it is possible to end up with bag that looks a bit different from what it looked like when brand new.
IMO, all bets are off for neutrals offered before 1993.
As @Lake Effect mentions, you can zero in on color by knowing productions years and looking thru catalogs. I also use the Wayback Machine for later years.

I managed to collect four different tans they made Willis in by looking at the underside suede of the bag and looking at production years with published colors. A restorer once told me to look under the flap of my Willis bags to see the true color (outer bag can fade and change color with use). It really helps when colors like reds and tans seem so similar. I have found most of the reds Wilis came in too. Most people would be happy with one but I just had to have every single color ever made.

Here’s a photo of two of my red Willis made in Costa Rica 2001 brass (L) and China 2005 nickel (R). I also have one made in the USA 1996 not pictured here That is yet another red shade. Now whether I can rely on official colors or not, I love them all!

I also found vicuña color that way. Here’s the Wayback machine screenshot. I can see from my research Coach made Willis in vicuña 2000-2001.

I have never run into one of these and thought they were all already in possession of other collectors and I'll never have one. I bought it but the way things are going these days I didn't get my hopes up too much till it shipped. I kept fearing the seller will cancel my order. Well it made it! It's now my mine!

Chunky sits like a toad. I find it amusing. She has 4 feet but they can't keep her from touching the surface. The color is a bit softer orange than the tangerine Soho flap. Inside is lined with her signature multicolor striped fabric.

The metal frame touches the leather on the sides of the bag and leaves marks and tarnish residues.
I. Am. So. JEALOUS! I love it and it’s even in an orange shade! Wow!you are so lucky!

I'm sure you're not the only one jealous! Is orange your favorite color? The bag's leather is ok but the frame has several cosmetic flaws. The plating is not smooth and shiny in some spots.
I love the orange bags. Coach did not make enough orange bags in the 70s. I have this 1971 bug my dad bought because orange was my favorite color as a kid. Streak turned 50 this year!
