Thank you to the wonderful Coach authenticators, @Hyacinth, @BeenBurned and @whateve whose tireless work on the Coach authentication thread made my wish to own an exotic Coach bag a reality!

May makes this bag officially 20 years old! It arrived in like new condition (it was advertised as new without tags) and I spent part of today conditioning the inside flap of the bag with Coach moisturizer and the genuine alligator exterior with Bicks 4.

I am over the moon with this bag!

Oh my goodness! Your new bag is absolutely stunning!

I love the exotic Italian Coach bags and your genuine alligator clutch is absolutely gorgeous and very special, congratulations!

I went searching on the Wayback Machine and I didn't find your bag but I found a tote that may be part of the same collection, or at least it was probably made around the same time and it is also alligator.

It's called the Hamptons Alligator Small Tote 8150 from Spring 2001 listed for $3500. The color shown is called "Honey" and it was also available in "Racing Green" and "Warm Brown". The listing says that it is "No longer available in Honey" so that color must have sold out quickly. If they used the same colors for your clutch then I'm guessing that it is either Honey or Warm Brown. Maybe one of the Authenticators could help you sort out the colors?

I'm guessing that your bag originally came with a small, enameled hangtag like the one on my lizard framed clutch that was made around the same time it Italy, see below.

Is your bag numbered; what number is it and how many were made? I'm so glad that you got it; please show us some more pictures of your fabulous new exotic, Italian bag!

I'm meeting my Mom and Dad for a lunch date today and even though I'm freaking starving I'm more excited about picking a bag to carry than I am about seeing my parents for the first time in several months or about eating a fat juicy steak for lunch!! Please don't judge me....

I gotta go shop my closet now....omg I'm so excited!
That's great! I'm excited too. We're going out to eat with our son for the first time in more than a year!

Wow! Your lizard bag is stunning @katev! Thank you for the additional information also!

My bag is no. 15 of 100. I am so happy with this purchase.

I chose my rust Pony! I brought this gem for two reasons: I wanted to carry my most special bag for a most special day, and I needed a bag big enough to fit my phablet and a large paperback book. I had narrowed it down to a Courier, an original Rambler, and a Pony. The Courier and Rambler were just a bit too big and I was very surprised to find that the Pony was just right! The width allowed for the oversized book. We had a wonderful lunch and I can't wait until we can go again!

We went out to eat today for the first time in a very long time! I took my BT Basic Bag. All the Basic bag talk lately made me want to use one of mine. I might use my newly discovered mocha tomorrow. Excuse the dirty car seats, they need some cpr  20210508_182310.jpg

I just remembered I noticed this big piece of glitter under my piping while I was eating! I tried to get it out with my nail and a napkin but couldn't. Going to fix that right now.

Dang it! Posting this pic made me notice the scratch
