We went out to eat today for the first time in a very long time! I took my BT Basic Bag. All the Basic bag talk lately made me want to use one of mine. I might use my newly discovered mocha tomorrow. Excuse the dirty car seats, they need some cpr View attachment 5078850

I just remembered I noticed this big piece of glitter under my piping while I was eating! I tried to get it out with my nail and a napkin but couldn't. Going to fix that right now.

We all know how hangtags can be misplaced during rehabs? Well, I am devastated to say that I have somehow lost the short portion of the crossbody strap of one of my favourite bags. My NWOT aqua Lunch Box. I have torn my house apart looking for it, to no avail. I do have an aqua Regina strap, but I was hoping to use the LB strap on the Regina as it is thicker. (Yes, I checked inside the Regina, it's not there). I also have a Coach chain strap, but that doesn't seem to look right.

Now I need to buy another aqua Lunch Box. Could you please let me know if you see one for sale?

I have also checked Etsy and Amazon for canvas/jacquard crossbody straps, but have found nothing that would go with aqua. If you can think of any other solutions I would really appreciate it. Thanks so much. xo

I have lost a whole bag in my house before! I carefully put it away so safely that even I couldn't find it! Haha! You'll find it soon. It's in your house somewhere where you least expect it. Sometimes they end up under furnitures. I have accidentally left my phone in the refrigerator before.

OMG! That is hysterical, and encouraging, House!

Because of covid and no one visiting my house, I let organization go significantly. I dread the thought that it may have gotten thrown out accidently when I reorganized. I realize I have not seen the entire strap for months. I've never even used this HG bag.

Is it possible your dog hid it? My dog used to hide things & then randomly, months later, drop them in front of us as offerings from his hiding hole lol. To this day I have no idea where his hiding spot was!

That's an excellent suggestion, but my girl isn't that way inclined. She is very serene and chill. It is far more likely I accidently dispensed of it when ridding the storage area of an accumulation of plastic bags and cardboard boxes.

I feel you on wondering if it went out with boxes, etc. I have two fobs that are MIA. I am actually in the midst of putting away as many items including bags as possible as I will be spending the later part of the week going through boxes that were in storage (and planning on dumping as much as possible.)

I doubt my kitty is the culprit, as he prefers smaller play things. I've practically turned my couches upside down and inside out. They are recliners so there's lots of flaps and hidden areas. I've also gone through every crumpled up sheet of tissue in the house (I reuse all the tissue that comes with my purchased bags to stuff and ship the rehabbed bags for friends and family). I went through the tissue in each vintage bag this morning and then the boxes of stored new tissue and bubble wrap. Next is to tackle the hundreds of boxes I've saved in my garage !

I'm so sorry! I've lost bags before! I lost a wallet and didn't find it for two years. There are still a few things I lost years ago I haven't found. I suspect they somehow made it into the trash.

Sorry to hear everyone's loss stories. I had a big one myself a few years ago. I had a big black bin bag (I know...) of my favourite bags, including a vintage BREE turnlock backpack (similar to vintage Coach but veg tan I think) and all-purple Longchamp le pliage tote, a Givenchy tote and can't remember the rest, that literally disappeared to the wind!!! Still heartbroken to this day and feel a little triggered when I see photographs of people's daypacks. My BREE baby... </3

ETA: I held off using the purple le pliage too. I should probably stop babying my bags and just use them. Who knows what could happen tomorrow...

That is a big loss!

It's a small vintage Gramercy card case/coin purse. I never found it in a catalog so when I lost it, I couldn't remember what it looked like. Now that I have found it again, it is more special to me than it was before.
