2 bags off my wishlist. In the space of 24 hours, thanks to tips from those here, I got a currant Rambler’s legacy and an affordable original NYC Rambler in black. The NYC needs some TLC when it arrives. I am now down to a 9989 hybrid, something in jade and a burgundy original Rambler (although if I dislike the size of my project one the burgundy could be off the list).

I rehabbed my daypack over the long weekend! The interior was filthy & it had the worst cigarette smell ever. I did 2 extra vinegar baths after my regular dunk as suggested to me by @houseof999 a while back & Im happy to report the smell is gone :yahoo: . The corners had fading, I used a tiny dab of black resolene to fix them. 4 coats of CPR & 1 of Renapur

That's one beautiful rehab!!!

If anyone spots gently-priced Casinos in black and/or any colour that isn't red, brown (not yet sure which shade mine is) or navy, please kindly keep me in mind.

Many thanks xx
I bought this one just the other day. She says it is dark grey, but my bets are on faded black. I'm happy either way.

Will happily keep a look out for you!

Grey does exist but with nickel hardware! Id love to find one. They’re super rare though so I won’t hold my breath lol

Still hoping for the name of the colour of my Small Courier 9505. @Hyacinth estimates her age group as late 70s early 80s.

Here she is next to my BT Rambler's Legacy:

I have followed LunaSilver's suggestion and am conditioning over several days before dunking. During this time I also tried Debi the Restorer's suggestion of using rubbing alcohol to remove ink and stains. I used it very sparingly/carefully and it has worked beautifully! The ink on the suede under the flap is now gone and so are some tiny marks on the body of the bag. The one thing it wasn't able to alter was the dark line across the top under the flap. As I find it adds to the character, that's totally fine. Looking forward to dunking after more days of Leather CPR!
