When most Coach bags started costing more than $500, I slowed way down on buying new Coach. Even before that, it is rare I've paid full price for new Coach. I've learned that nearly everything goes on sale.

I've only bought one new Coach in the last 3 years. I've bought more from other brands.

I have to share this cute wallet I found while thrifting today, especially since my last vintage purchase was a while ago. It's the multi-function purse 7219 in mahogany. I got it for $13 which I think was a good price.

It was in good condition, just some light cleaning and Leather CPR to make it glow. I read the hardware is brass, I'm considering doing a better job polishing it in the future.

Good deal! I had a lucky find checking out a little vintage store near me I had never been in before. For me this was a holy grail find (for $80). Will be getting a bath but in pretty great shape other than a missing zipper pull.

One good way to find vintage Coach bargains. Someone who doesn't know what they have and are selling. Found THIS on shopgoodwill: https://shopgoodwill.com/item/196239475
They called it a "Vintage Unbranded Brown Leather Purse." Number 1. I believe it's Coach, not "unbranded." Number 2. It's a briefcase, not a purse. Number 3. I think it may be burgundy, not brown.
So, there's not enough here to request an official authentication (yet), but I can see the outline of a creed, exactly where it should be. I'm fairly certain: this is a Coach bag. What say any of you vintage Coach afficianados!? Got it for $16 !!! (plus shipping).
