Looks more like British tan to me. I found these catalog colors online that show both tabac and British tan. Do not know what years these came from but thought they might help.

I posted photos of some of the hangtag color samples at the Coach FAQs and Reference thread here 9 years ago. You might want to Save the URLs. Posts 37, 38 and 39. The photos I posted include catalog dates. Whoever originally posted the photos you found didn't bother or didn't know.

The colors on the left in Post 24910 are from 1986. There are 2 fewer colors than my 1986 Classics pic but whoever posted that photo cut the two hangtags that should be on the right, Putty and Black, completely out of his picture. I'm assuming it's the same person who has a bad habit of posting photos that are often cut off at one or more edges.

The colors on the right photo are identical to the 1981-82 catalogs in the FAqs post #37.

From the catalog, it does look more like BT. Tabac seems darker and less warm than BT. Before the dunk, I really thought it was tabac. Guess it’s just dirty. Lol thanks for the catalog! ;)

Yeah it seems more BT because it is orangey. But from the AT thread, I think this hobo only came out in mahogany or tabac at that time. That’s why I am a bit confused. Serial # 889-9928
It came out around ‘90 for a few years. Then it came out a bit later for a hot minute as a reissue. It came in BT and a host of of other colors including spectator styles! I have a busy work schedule today and when I can, I will snap a catalog pic . Mine is a putty shade with mahogany trim.
I bought mine for $10 at a flea market and it launched my journey in rehabbing! I was completely unfamiliar with the style and initially panicked because it was before tPF and all I saw on eBay then in this style were Made in Korea fakes. I finally found tPF and was relieved to find out it was a legit style, that in my opinion is underrated.

Does anyone own a Station with an adjustable strap? I am not too familiar with it so wondering if they all came with adjustable straps. If anyone has one, can you please let me know how wide the strap is? I feel like the Station I just bought came with an original Coach strap, just not original to the Station.
My 1999 Costa Rica Station has an adjustable strap. It’s exactly 5/8” (~1.59cm) wide.

Catalog photos don't always show all the colors they made. BT was a common color so I wouldn't be surprised they made it in that.

The catalogs are fun to have to confirm all kinds of info! I’m fortunate to have found a bunch, relatively cheap.
