Good luck with that. Enforced by whom, exactly?

And no poaching would happen if the greedy poachers were less freakin' greedy. Good luck with that too. I don't believe in putting the onus on the victim, but apparently some people do. The poor, misunderstood perp who gave the system the middle finger is completely innocent of any wrong? Is there a particular reason why you feel that way? The person who initiated what's essentially a breach of contract doesn't bear any responsibility?

That's a stinking world to live in. It may be the world we live in now, but that doesn't mean it's right.
Based on your past comments this response is no surprise. You totally missed my point. The chain of events starts with an unscrupulous seller yet you put all the blame on the secondary buyers and sellers.

The Purse Forum was recommended to me by a professional rehabber but it is not a place to get professional information or feedback. All one has to do is read your response and feel the tone. The use of language is appalling....freakin’? Seriously?

I’m looking for good, accurate information from people like myself who have a love of Coach bags. The internet is a whole big world of information abd I’ll go elsewhere to participate in “conversations” not “lectures”. It serves no purpose to be so condescending. Blast away all you want. I’ve got better things to do. I will NOT be returning.

When I'm bidding for resale I can tell pretty fast when there is a bidder that really just wants it for them. I like that its gonna find a good home even when I don't get it. I usually just end up buying the bags that need more work than the average shopper wants to do anyway. That way all the pretty bags get a new life.

The bag I wanted had 8 bidders but I actually ended up not even bidding on it as I found a bag that was BIN and I wanted it more than the auction bag. I saw after that the auction bag won at $66 so I probably would have won that auction as my max bid was going to be $90 usd. Im happy for whoever won it as I too am very excited about my BIN bag since the seller accepted my offer

Give my regards to D.

To everyone else here, my sincere apologies for the disruption.

I spent about 2 hours last night reading the “coach Screed” article where the person breaks down why Coach bags today essentially suck compared to the originals / full grain vs. genuine leather/ the hug it creed etc. Im sure most of you have read the article Im referring to. I noticed on the only bag I purchased from Coach recently- the 1941’s dinky- how different the leather felt. I now realize that I too had fallen for the “genuine glove tanned” lie! Anyways, that was a seriously fantastic read and it makes me appreciate my vintage collection that much more. I had my eye on the 1941’s duffle 20 but not anymore! I refuse to pay for “genuine leather”. Give us back full grain, with nylon stitching and aniline dyes!

heres the article if anyone who hasn’t read it wants to:

I am sure everyone here would agree with you. Though highly unlikely with the invention of the corrupt concept of planned obsolescence.

Does anybody have a Tango bag? I just asked about a Pocket Purse in AT and felt wary of the seller as she is also selling a Tango bag with a strange-looking back-of-female-part of the turnlock. Then I looked at other Tango listings and found out they all look like this. They don't have the prongs, but rather a continuous lip holding the part in place. The male part looks different as well, rounder and beefier with a wider edge. What's up with that? Are there other bags with that style turnlock, and can they be removed for rehab?
You can remove the male part for rehab but not the female. I think all tangos have nickel though so removing them may not be necessary. The one drawback to rehabbing a tango I’ve found is that they are so pocket heavy that they are a pain to get into being as small as they are. If you’re using something like blackrock that needs to set up, and doing it panel by panel then it becomes extremely time consuming! Not really worth it in my honest opinion. ;)

Interesting! I was looking at a Tango, in what looks like Camel, but I might pass now. I have a Jade Scooter that's a similar shape, but I was intrigued by the outside pocket on the Tango. Plus, I don't know if I like Camel:P

If you put just your bare essentials in the main tango compartment- keys, small wallet, a pack of tissues etc.- the back pocket becomes useless. If you put your phone back there, it pushes against the contents inside and becomes a tight fit as well as oddly shaped. The scooter is better because the front pocket is actually useful for storing your phone without taking away space from the main compartment- or at least this is my experience with both bags. Im sure the tango is a HG bag for someone out there though!

Some of the 1941 collection have "full grain" stated in the creed, but definitely much thinner leather, maybe have cardboard like backing ? and probably won't wear well. Never had chance to find out since I always baby mine way too much.

Congratulations! I'm looking forward to seeing your new bag. This is why I don't like to bid on auctions until the last minute. I might find something else before the auction ends. Usually when an auction is about to end, I'll do a quick search to make sure there isn't something else first.

I have a large variety of newer Coach bags. A few of them haven't worn well but with most I have absolutely no complaints. I don't know what they did to make my 2012 Legacy pebbled drawstring but that thing is indestructible. It feels like thick leather but most likely just has a backing. Whatever, it has never gotten a scratch or nick and there has never been any sign of wear. Compared to the BV cervo, which everyone raves about, including me, it feels a bit thicker but not as soft. As much as I love BV cervo, it is susceptible to nicks which expose white underneath. I have other recent Coach bags that have worn extremely well and I love them. Besides the leather, there are intricate design details on newer bags I love.

I don’t baby my bags at all, so its for the best that I don’t own any recent coach releases lol! I like the fact that I can be rough with my bag and just dunk it to bring it back to life again :)

I think my dinky and a card case that I got from the boutique have left a bad impression for me because the dinky didn’t feel like it was worth the $400 cad (with taxes) and the card case’s edges started to peel after a few months of use. I really like the look of a lot of the bags I see on Coach’s website right now but I can’t justify the insane $$ when the bags could be hit or miss quality wise. Im sure its not as bad as the article makes it seem either. Its good to know you like your newer coaches as well, I might give it another shot in the future

I don't have a lot of really recent bags. I have the Kaffe Fasset Marleigh. I haven't used it enough to give an impression on how it is going to wear but it is truly a work of art. My other three bags bought recently are the originals Emery 21, the 1941 clutch with leather sequins, and an unknown colorblock metallic camera bag I got on FOS. The leather on the clutch feels nice and I love the leather lining. The exterior smooth leather scratches easily. The Emery is stiff and not really the best leather but I love the style and color and haven't seen any signs of wear.

I think it is hit and miss. It helps to buy on sale. Usually by then there are reviews. I have a few other bags from premier brands and I think most of my Coach bags compare favorably.
