I didn’t know there was a fb group and I was just browsing their public group after hearing it mentioned here, and I guess I just never fully realized just how many people collectively are consistently checking the listings for bags. I’m somewhat amazed I was even able to find some of the bags that I did. I haven’t been at this for a long time (it’s been about one year, and feel like I’m almost done finding the bags I’m most curious about), but after my purple kimball drama I was like this is one crazy little world.

Thinking about this, while she might relist for $400 and sell it, the ones asking higher sit forever. So depending how high she goes she lost out on immediate cash vs imaginary
This was one of my worst fears on my $35 Winnie purchase. I had it authenticated here and then many posters were commenting on how that was such a steal and they saw them go for a alot more. While I appreciated the sentiment and excitement greatly, on the inside I was thinking, EVERYBODY SHHHHH!!!! At least for a couple of days until she ships! I didn't want her to stumble on this site and see her listing posted here and read what everyone was saying and have a change of heart!
You’re right. I’m going to be quiet from now on and I’m really sorry from the bottom of my heart to @Busykitty if I alerted the masses, including those who would message the seller (if that’s what really happened). NEVER AGAIN! It’s sad I even have to be careful about this though, though I think I always lean a little idealistic. Anyway. This is why this little world is so cut-throat like you said.

Wow, such drama! I went from being furloughed to working crazy shifts for nine days in a row and just now found the time to catch up. @Busykitty, wtf, so sorry! It's just bags, but I can feel your elation then severe disappointment. I'm very frustrated-by-proxy for you, how awful!

I agree, that we should even have to worry about it is sad. The majority of, if not all of us, here at the forum would never do something like that, to undermine another poster's great luck in finding a steal. It is sad that anyone, tpf poster or not, would do that. Ugh, to think that someone could have messaged the seller to try to get that bag for a little more and then to think it could have been a reseller who may list if for $1000. The love of money truly is the root of all evil. And shame on the seller if that was case. Shame on the seller anyway.
Im in Canada so I don’t use mercari but Ive seen some people on this thread mention that they show sold listings and I believe someone said “I don’t wanna see what I missed out on” or something like that. Honestly thats so stupid on mercari’s end. If a listing is sold, why are you still advertising it? It takes away from people who got a good deal cause buyers can just message the seller offering more. @Busykitty Im also sorry for chiming in about what a lucky find it was. I apologize as well!
