A couple weeks ago, I had my eye on a vintage casino bag. I hate top handle bags but this one looked cute so I waited until the auction was about to end and placed my bid. Someone outbid me at the last possible second and I couldn’t enter a higher bid in time. The guy who won didn’t even get the bag yet and just took the auction’s pictures and created his own listing for double the price. I get it, people wanna make their profit but I was pretty salty for a few days after that lol. That could have been my bag! I feel you, I hate auctions because when you lose, it’s disappointing. I avoid them on purpose but doesn’t hurt when you find something good. I hope you left that seller some negative feedback! I can’t stand people who don’t follow through on a sale :annoyed:

If both listings were on Ebay you could always be evil and report the buyer's listing to the original seller for photo theft.

I've gotten quite a few bags crammed into small envelopes like that. One of them had the strap permanently crimped. The seller blamed the post office rather than her poor packaging.
Surprisingly it held up and actually looks better than her pics of it in terms of color loss. Because I have dealt with a bunch of real Willis bags, in person it is easy to see that this is not the same. Filed claim with Mercari. If for whatever reason they make me keep it, I am going to wash it anyway. Won’t post here, but it can be my guinea pig for testing paint for the periwinkle lunch box I am working on.

Thanks! I believe it was unintentional but I love that about it. This bag might be better than a pony. I just need to get my hands on a pony to make sure.
I think we are all in that boat....I have to pay off the Bal and pulley bag before I buy another bag....so much temptation...I cleared my watchlist only to fill it up again at work due to bordem

Did they make the lunch box in currant or burgundy vs red? I ask because my red one is rather dark and what it bled on the towel looks like what came off my currant Willis.

What are the month and year codes in the serial?

ETA - I think Currant was limited to only 1 or 2 years toward the end of that decade.

I moved this over here to this thread for now. I just can’t wait to get my hands on it. I keep looking at the tracking and don’t think it has left her place yet. I’m worse than a kid on December 20th. Maybe Saturday??
It arrived :yahoo: and it does look exactly like the seller’s photos. Will post pics of it on my sofa later.
Must. Work. Now.
How??? My HG is sitting next to me lol.

It looks like H6O or H6C. The whole creed is very worn and it is still really wet (just took it out of dunk at 11).

The zipper fabric is red and what edging there is (and it doesn’t exactly look original) both are red, but the bag bled berry and fuchsia on the towel and is currently a gorgeous shade of what the Brits call conker.
