Finished up Abbie today.
I know this will not be everyone's cup of tea/coffee/glass of beer/margarita....
But I like it, and yes...I'm obsessed with crocodile embossing ;)
I like it. I've been trying to think of ideas for a bag and croc and snakeskin have been on my mind. I'm trying to stay on the cheap side of things. Where did you pick up the embossed leather?

CoolSolution on Etsy. I've purchased from him twice. I've purchased both scrap pieces and actual cut "sheets" He shows everything measured out and might not be the absolute cheapest, however his prices are more than fair and he ships FAST. No complaints :)

Oooo yes he has some nice pieces. I was thinking of placing a narrow strip down the center of my bag to cover a stain that is front and center near the bottom. I like what you did but my bag has a flap. I am not sure it would look as good as your Abbie if I covered the whole bottom section. I'd like to see the sides and back and bottom of yours if you feel like sharing more photos.

Have any of you vintage enthusiasts ever negotiated price on Etsy? Not sure how to go about it.
I'm asking because I'm eyeing a green Mitchell hard. I have kicked myself repeatedly after letting one go a couple weeks back and another showed up on ebay. I had it authenticated here and watched but didn't place a bid (starting bid was around $10) so seller removed the bag, probably because she was afraid of it not fetching much, and is selling it on Etsy for $55 (I only see € prices, so this is a guesstimate). I requested additional photos in natural light and got them. The bag has a weird faded spot at the bottom and some scratches which I don't mind much, but I think it's a little too expensive. I'm not getting huge red flags but am a bit miffed about her removing it from ebay. Seller even admitted herself that it's not in greatest condition. She also treated the bag with Kiwi oil, does anyone have experience rehabbing a greased-up bag?
ETA It also always irks me when I request additional photos showing more flaws more clearly and the seller doesn't add them to the original listing for everyone to see.
