Thanks for the advice. The bag looks pretty grubby and not at all in the condition he described just looking at the pics. A hole and/or odor arriving with the scuffs, dirt and verdigris would make me return it. I will go take the screencaps and will photo the verdigris. I suspect I will be wearing gloves for this rehab. I want to tag Coach and maybe see if Deb the Restorer will be willing to share wisdom since she told me the UA stewardess only came in tabac and all those BT and black ones I saw were lighting or patina for the BT and likely dyed for the black ones.

If you try caramel cheddar popcorn you have to find the right one. Some are bland, but I have had 2 I adored, but neither are in stores. One is Easy Peasy Caramel Cheesy they keep mailing samples to work wanting us to do fund raisers and I was horrified to find the smallest container was $30+ shipped so I will keep raiding the mail bin lol. The other my mom got as a gift at work, thought it sounded gross and gave it to me. Loved it, but it was also expensive and I forget its name.

Yikes! I think I'll hold off on the popcorn for now! Too many other things that need to be taken care of first. Maybe when things get back to "normal", if there is such a thing, or ever will be again. As of today, everyone in my state is required to wear a face mask any time they're out in public. The statewide lockdown remains in effect and was extended, for which I give our Governor a lot of credit. It's his first term, but so far he's doing better than I expected and is actually listening to the medical experts. It just goes to prove that not all of the super-rich are stupid SOBs. JMO.

I think The Restorer and The Seller may be friends, I've seen them listed as followers on each others' Facebook pages. Just so you know.

I believe someone here has gone to an auto parts place and gotten one of those kits that they use to remove the dash off the car. Think the tools are made of of plastic so as not to scratch the car.
I think that is to remove the hardware. I don't have problems removing it. I have problems getting the prongs folded back tight when I put it back on.

I know this might not be the best idea (I also had problems getting the prongs folded back in too) but it’s worked for me. I put a cloth over the hardware and very lightly tap each prong down with a hammer. This usually works just for the flap but not for the male part of the hardware.

I have never been brave enough to remove a turnlock. Besides fear of breaking it, I worry I will stab myself in the process. Another reason I should have held out for a Willis with nickel lol.
It hasn’t happened in a while (except for recently with a red station bag) but I get so happy when I get a bag with no verdigris so I don’t have to remove the hardware! I still hate doing it every time...

Maybe I won’t ask the Restorer after all lol.

Our lockdown eases for some areas (not mine) on May 8 with a tentative date for my county May 18. My salon posted on FB they will start booking cut and color (no nails or wax) appointments with a required mask as of the 18th. Mask are required here in public places in my state, which isn’t great for me as I have super sensitive skin and they irritate me (big red patches that go raw even with cotton masks). Not bad for a short trip to the store, but should I have to go back to work while it is in place, I am not sure what I will do as I can’t wear one for that long 5 days a week (one of many reasons I am not in the medical field).

I had one bag that looked green free, but when I washed it, flecks of verdigris floated out from under the lock. I keep toying with getting a black with nickel willis, but I put so much effort into my black with brass one and the leather is so nice, I hate to move it along.

what about wearing a face shield instead? Most I've seen only touch your forehead.

That is a possibility. I have been toying around with some stuff that meets the requirement of a mouth/nose covering but that is largely off my skin and has air flow. My “patches” are really aggravated heat rash from the moisture being trapped and body heat held in.

Finished up Abbie today.
I know this will not be everyone's cup of tea/coffee/glass of beer/margarita....
But I like it, and yes...I'm obsessed with crocodile embossing ;)

Can we also appreciate the teeth marks in my flip flop? Made when my youngest dog was a puppy. he will be three this month. I can't bare to part with those flip flops because old navy does not make them nearly as soft and squishy any more!
