Oh! This might be the perfect place to ask, actually. I'm currently on the hunt for a new work bag, as my current one is breaking beyond repair. I thought a nice vintage Coach would be great to hold up for what I need and stand the test of time, especially now that I know a bit more about taking care of them.

I'm looking for a briefcase/messenger bag style. I want a top-handle for easy in-and-out of the car and stuff, as well as a longer strap for more convenient carrying. It needs to be at least 13"x10" in order to fit my laptop, though I wouldn't say no to bigger, since that would more comfortably fit my padded laptop case. Ideally it would also be deep enough to carry a small water bottle, so I would have to pass on bags 2" deep and under (one of the reasons I've ruled out the Metropolitan and the Letter Brief).

The bags I've been looking at atm are the Lexington, the Prescott, the Compact Organizer Brief and the Organizer Brief. The only thing with the latter two is the padded laptop part in the middle. I really do like that it is there, but I'd be concerned that having that part breaking up the inner bag section means I'd be out of luck with my water bottle. Also the Organizer brief is HUGE.

The Lexington I do like a lot in terms of function and aesthetic. The Prescott is also a lovely bag, and the two front pockets would be nice. Not easy to find though!

What do you all think would work better? Or do you have other suggestions?

I was thinking that too. Who in their right mind would buy one at those prices? No offense to any posters here that would or did. I'd actually like too feel one to see how a Coach rehab feels compared to mine.
But they are “sold out” and “almost gone” and that means someone is buying them!

I realize they are probably in limited quantities to begin with so if five or fewer bags are listed and three are sold, that would make “almost gone” appear.

Hi everyone,
I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this but I recently washed a vintage coach leather bag with a fabric lining and now the leather is wrinkled. I’m not sure what happened. Any idea how I can fix this?
Thanks
