I’ve just sold my YSL puffer bag with them after a break of over a year selling. I’ve honestly never had an issue, my photographs and descriptions are always so honest and I never ask for too much for them. Reading these experiences makes me realise how lucky my buyers are as my bags are always full set and immaculate. I always get paid the day after they receive them. Maybe there are just too many dishonest sellers on the platform.

Anytime. I’m not a VC hater, but hand on heart their service/attitude changed dramatically a couple of years back. Personally, wouldn’t touch it but to be fair if you know your ‘brand’, like I did Mulberry then you should be ok. Also never get direct shipping. That’s another thing….if you do that they twist it as if they’ve removed themselves from the responsibility. That was another row 🤦‍♀ sorry you’ve had such a problem. It’s very frustrating I know. 🫶

So I was dreaming about a Cartier Love bracelet for the last 10 years. I have rings from them, 2 from the boutique and 2 from eBay from legit Japanese auctions (there were absolutely crazy deals and everything is absolutely authentic, I’ve got a white gold regular size ring for 500$ in size 54 and another one was a mini full diamond one in white gold as well size 54 for 1600$ that costs 4500 in the boutique). I’ve mentioned sizes so you know I’ve got really crazy deals because it’s hard af to get something for this price from Japan because the usually sell superb small sizes like 47-49 over there. I am a luxury pieces lover and it’s one of my passions but my income doesn’t let me to get super expensive goods without dragging me into a rabbit hole in the worse way this phrase means. I can’t let myself to purchase something that will hurt myself and my family well being but I still have my wishes you know. So I have found a full size Love bracelet with new (I guess it’s from 2011 edition) type of screws (when they stay in the bracelet when you take it off) in RG size 16. For the craziest price ever for this piece again. After the negotiation I’ve got it for 3300$ something, 3600$ something after taxes and all VC fees. As far as I’m tight in budget I follow the rule “work smart, no hard”. I have so much knowledge nowadays how to authenticate the goods by myself because my budget is too tight for purchasing from the store, I guess I could open a new thread at this forum where people could send me pictures to authenticate their items. That being said I did receive the bracelet and it’s as described/showed but with no screwdriver. It’s gonna be a waaaay longer story after that guys. I will let you in the whole process by attaching a pdf file with all of my screenshots I had to send to my credit card company because I ended up to file a claim. You can see the whole story but reading my actual private chat with VC agents and the last two scans are what I’ve got from them to my email and what did I answer to them before filing a claim.
I hope it’s gonna help someone in future, I’m still stressed af about the outcome of the CC dispute being resolved and it’s going in real life time right now. Oh it was the longest post I’ve ever done in my whole life and I’m not exaggerating just to say so. And English is my second language too lol

Unless you totally trust the seller or are absolutely sure you can self-authenticate.

Guess I am in the lucky crowd of never having any issues, from both the selling and buying side, aside from shipment delays from a lazy/procrastinating seller.

Today I recieved an email from VC telling me that the authentification had failed (!) and in the report none of the criteria were met (!!), dustbag no, lining no, model (?) no ! I have to pay 15 EUR to get ma bag back. Well, maybe that's for the best, I should have kept it after all.. but seriously... They most likely know nothing about oldies ! Posting the bag and the report below...

They charged you 15 EUR to get your bag back and they’re trying to charge me $60 for “conversion rates” — for something I never even had in my hands!

VC is looking more and more like a scam.
Now it appears they’re trying to profit from their incompetence!!
 
Guys please don’t be worried about downloading my file, there are no bugs or viruses, I just added the same file I’ve made for filing a dispute with my CC company. The bank is BofA and they didn’t let me to add more the 5 files and I had freaking 32 so I had to combine all of them in pdf file that was accepted so you can read all of my chats with VC jokers.

Will attempt a charge back with PayPal, but dread the entire thing. NEVER again will I buy from Vestiaire! Hope things have resolved in your favor.

This happened to me right before my experience with them on the authentic Balenciaga

I bought a bag that was far more worn & damaged than described or shown (seller deliberately cropped pics to exclude worst wear/stains). They refused a refund because the seller called it FAIR. Said I could relist using the original description & pics for no fees. I told them there was no way I would tarnish my rep as a seller by reselling something with such a deceptive description & pics. I called, disputed. They flat out refused. I filed a SNAD with Paypal & they decided in my favor & refunded my money. VC then relisted with the original pics & description on their account but then added to the description all the additional wear/damage (something I couldn’t have done if I had relisted it)

I swore them off after that & wished I’d stuck by it, since they immediately screwed me again. Definitely done with them now (their ridiculous prices right now ensure I won’t cave again)
 
Thank you for your response. I’m sorry this happened to you! Any tips for dealing with PayPal? I’m so upset I cannot even think straight. I’ve never had this issue with an online seller. I thought Vestiaire was honest and reliable. As you stated - never again!! Many thanks -
