The seller should have mentioned the corner wear in the description and took photos of it. Odd that that the seller listed it as very good but then says excellent in description.

I just looked at what very good means. Slight corner wear falls under very good.

Thank you for your response. I’m sorry this happened to you! Any tips for dealing with PayPal? I’m so upset I cannot even think straight. I’ve never had this issue with an online seller. I thought Vestiaire was honest and reliable. As you stated - never again!! Many thanks -
I just included all the pics that showed the additional wear damage that wasn’t originally shown. The bag was badly stained everywhere & the additional damage was very obvious. I was actually surprised they fought me so hard on the return. It wasn’t even a large purchase (<$300). What really pissed me off was that they automatically relisted it to my account without my approval. I ended it as soon as I saw it & told them they didn’t have my permission to do that again.

Here are the photos of the completely bald spots I took a few minutes after opening the box. Unfortunately my photos look better than in does in person. They are completely threadbare and are much lighter than you can see here. Velvet reflects light and the listing photos did not look out of the ordinary at all. :(

Exact same wording and relisting I experiencing. I was furious when told it had been relisted without my permission and demanded it be removed from their site. Fingers crossed PayPal will help me!

I would not considered that very good. Ask to ship it back to get it inspected again.

Here is a photo of what Vestiaire considers very good. Maybe email it to customer service, to remind them what is meant meant by slightly rubbed .

As a seller this is kind of infuriating
They rejected a bag I sold last year because of corner wear they say my bag had but wasn’t described, despite my description mentioning it AND my photos showing it

Honestly, I think they knew they were screwed because they originally passed it through when it should have been rejected & didn’t want to be stuck with it like they are now.
It was also very odd that I purchased it on a Saturday night and I received a notice that it had shipped about an hour later - on a Saturday night! Then an early Monday morning notice it had been authenticated. HOW? There is no way to ship and get it there and authenticated that fast. None of this makes sense. They even have the same bag on another listing that has detail photos of damaged corners. But *I* bought the one listed with no damage noted. Grrrrr.

Hi - I agree. It was returned immediately and their customer service has refused the return twice because it matches their “previous authentication.” They have the bag. I’m just appalled at this. I’ve sold and bought several times from them and have never experienced this.

They’re charging both buyers and sellers ridiculous fees & I think the result has been fewer sales so I think VC is really struggling right now and they’ve gotten careless on their inspections & stingy with returns.

This is why I think they initially refused my refund. Since Paypal forced it, they’re now going to lose money on this. The first pic is my purchase, the second & third are their current listing. This bag wasn’t worth the $260 I paid, it definitely not worth the $340 they’re asking for now

UPDATE:
After threatening legal action, a PayPal chargeback, a Better Business Bureau complaint and being vocal on social media (I did post a strongly-worded tweet to them yesterday!) and that I would have no problem alerting the online luxury community to their deceitful practices - alllll in my response to Vestiaire Collective yesterday - I received this email this morning. I noticed an international call earlier but figured it was yet another spam call and did not answer - never
dreaming it was them. The moral of this story is never give up! Whew, my anxiety level was through the roof yesterday. Thank you all for communicating with me!! It helped me more than you know. xoxoIMG_0925.webpIMG_0926.webp

Hi - have you gotten a resolution? I recently purchased a bag from Vestiaire Collective listed as very good condition and described as excellent condition in the description. When it arrived it was clearly damaged on the corners. They now keep insisting it’s “per the listing” based on their in house review. I am so upset!! Will attempt a charge back with PayPal, but dread the entire thing. NEVER again will I buy from Vestiaire! Hope things have resolved in your favor.
Hi! Not yet, I’ve got a message from the bank I have to attach more proofs of merchant not letting me return an item and I did so now I guess it’s another forever waiting for the resolution. I will absolutely update you guys when anything changes but it’s annoying and anxious situation as hell.
