Guessing there are no responses because no one knows whether information is deleted when account is closed. It seems you will need to contact them the best you can to cancel your account and try to get information about deleting your information.

I’ve only had luck with the chat function. Never get responses from emails.
Thank you. I will try to chat with them too.

Yes you should talk with their help desk, there is a chat option in the website. I add that I don't agree with the bad reviews, I use Vestiaire for buying and selling since many years and my experience with them is very good, the few times I had issues they solved it correctly, like the carrier has lost an item that I sold and VC paid me the item in full, or I received an item that according to me was not in the conditions that the seller indicated and they checked it and took it back and reimbursed me. So far, great experience.
Thank you. That's great you have had good luck with them.

My current experience and I honestly highly do not recommend vestiaire!

I bought a $1500 Lady Dior handbag and had it authenticated by them. My box arrived stuffed with papers and heavier cardboard, the handbag was nowhere to be found. I immediately took it up with vestiaire. He sent me to hell because I didn't claim the package with the courier when it was delivered. Which was impossible because the packaging on top was not damaged and the box was not light due to the cardboard.

As a result, I have no purse and no money.
Oh no, I'm so sorry. I hope you get your money back.

It is fraud. Did the parcel come directly from the seller or through Vestiaire? Did it look tampered with? Was this a sale within the EU? If I was you, I would not just let this go but look into all legal actions that you can take.

I agree, this is fraud and stealing of property. I would 1) make a police report and 2) write an official (registered) letter to the VC office with a copy of the police report.

I recently deleted all the last items I had for sale on VC. The commission and others fees are going crazy and the buyers always want some more discounts (I can understand that I don’t blame them at all). I don’t sell much because most of the time I stick to my purchases but I found Vestiaire convenient for the shopping mistakes… I’ll now use my local consignment store when needed : the fees are also hight but I know it supports the business of a lovely lady passionate about bags and clothes.

The fees are high and I’ve recently had an increase in buyers who make an offer, I accept, and they ghost. And it used to happen occasionally. But in the last two weeks I’ve had six. That’s not a good business practice to me that they allow that. So I pulled my remaining items.
I had a few cases like that and I even wrote to the VC that they have to make changes in their policy making the acceptance of the offer binding, it should be like in all auktions. It seems like people just playing with offer bottons testing the real selling prices. But the VC don't seem care so much, they just getting greedier and greedier raising their fees. I've been wondering how they can be in business in a long run, where the sellers-buyers modell loose-loose...I sold a few vintage products, but do not put anything exclusive and prefer not doing anything with them anymore.

I totally agree. I don’t do much selling but it was enough for me to realize people are just playing around and I didn’t realize that it wasn’t binding. I don’t have the time to waste lol. So I was like, I’m out!

The fees are ridiculous now and it’s almost impossible to sell. I’ve recently listed a new bag on there for $1,305 and the price after buyer + seller fee ended up at $1695 - that’s a ridiculous 29% differential. To top it off, buyers will need to pay on top of that the authentication fee, shipping fee, custom duties/taxes.

A bag that I was hoping to get $1,305 out of now cost a buyer probably $2,000 after all the additional fees/taxes.

Just lol. Better off selling my stuff elsewhere.

Hi ladies,
Has anyone bought from or sold with Vestiaire Collective before? They have had lot of press coverage in the UK the last few months and just wondered if anyone had any experiences with them?
I had the worst experience with Vestiaire. After a sale on my Balenciaga was concluded, they asked that I send to HK office within days. However, the buyer didn’t complete payment so sale was cancelled. Bag was certified authentic and I asked it was returned to me but I just received notice that customs want me to pay a hefty import tax to get the bag back !

This is through no fault of mine. I just had the bag returned and now I have to pay to get my bag back !

This is my one and only time with this Vestiaire guys. I believe they should be sending bag tagging invoice as return so import tax is not incurred. But, the customer service says it is my responsibility to pay when I have the bag out of my hands for a week!

Imagine if it had been my Chabel 255 or Birkin which is currently listed on sale there ! The costs would hv been higher !

Advice please. I signed up with Vestiaire yesterday. I wish I had read the terrible reviews of this company, before I added my SS number and checking account. I tried to delete my checking account info, but it won't let me. I want to delete my account. Does anyone know if you SS and bank information is deleted too? I don't trust this company after reading all of the terrible reviews.
Please don’t. First, you get messages asking if your bags are authentic. … I mean why would you sell it there if otherwise ? a lot of low ballers who are not serious so fair amount of to and fro. Most importantly , my very horrendous experience where I finally sold a Balenciaga city and I shipped it off to the HK office and the buyer cancelled deal. I was told I can relist at lower or hv bag returned . I opted for return and just received text from DHL that I have to pay import tax of over 3 figures !!! When it is no fault of mine, when the bag is already mine to begin with, when MY bag was out of my possession for a week , when I received nothing for this adventure.

What this platform thrives on is your desperation , urging you to drop your price to sell the bag. Meanwhile, you see the buyer buys an exorbitant fee for all these nonsense. Very bad biz model, I give it another 1-2 yrs before it goes under.

How’s that even possible? I mean, you have to pay the bag when you order it, right away? So they should have received the payment from the buyer?
