Hi no sadly it’s not an option if the buyer chooses direct shipping the label they send you will be direct to the buyer. There is no way to avoid it.
Thanks
Yeah, I figured that once a buyer has chosen direct shipping, there are only 2 options for me: ship or cancel the sale.
I just want to deter buyers from chosing direct shipping by making it clear in my listing. Saves me the trouble of cancelling the sale.
I just wondered if VC will allow any mention of it in the item description, or will they just edit it out? But knowing VC, it's probably gonna be the latter.

Im not sure they would notice it to be honest, I guess it will depend on what you are selling. The more expensive the items they might pay more attention to the listing details. I have seen many listings with incorrect information like sizes etc and it’s just left there. One of my listings they just left out the entire description I wrote! It can’t be edited after listing but you can add it in the comments section.
If you cancel a lot of sales it will count against your seller rating just something to be aware of.

Did they have a selling fee increase recently? I listed a few items a month or two ago and the selling fee was still very low. Now I listed a few items and the selling fee is 13% + an additional 13% buyer’s fee.

Quoting a post from January about the previous rates:
Anyone noticed that post the revision of buyer/seller fee that things are more expensive now? Noticed that they snuck in a 20% (used to be 15%) buyer fee and on top of that 5% seller fee. That’s a whopping 25% (20%+5%) when it used to only be 18% ish max. And they tried to frame it as beneficial for us sellers. I have compared the returns of my old listing vs new one (same product) and I’m getting lesser for the same item and same selling price now. Sneaky

I guess they decided to keep the total fee about the same and divide it evenly between the buyer and seller. This is totally news to me though, I never got an email about it.

VC is threatening not to pay any future sales without tax info but first I am not in EU and second my sales are no where near the threshhold plus I dont trust some Parison comp with my tax info so I am not providing it. They can close my acct and I will stick with other platforms but I dont think they can put a sale through, take their commission and not pay me! Its theft. Thoughts.
I will not be selling on Vestiaire in the future because of their insistence on tax info when it is not necessary. They have listed the IRS threshold for 2024 to be reported as $600. The actual amount that needs to be received is $5000 for 2024. I’ve tried twice to alert them to this discrepancy and get no response. Why should we trust them to protect our sensitive information when they can’t get this important rule straight?

My experience with VC was twice- sold two products over different period of time. Delivery, authentification and payment in both cases were quite fast. But their fee is INSANELY HIGH! I recently made a listing again, to sell my Hermes bag there, but got very surprised by the final price I saw after the publishing. Seems like they rose their fees again recently! Not sure now, if I will be able to sell it there with that price... Considering to take it out, but have no idea about others. Btw, I also checked the Collector Square, sent them a couple of pictures to get an offer, and to my astonishment, received suggested price to end customer- doubled, but to me will be less then I paid in the store. Lovely... These reselling firms are not ashamed at all!!!

It used to be fun to sell a bag to fund another one. Not possible now with the exorbitant fees involved. 😢
yes, that is exactly, I´ve bought a new one (even more rare and hard to get) and wanted to sell the other, even my husband tells me to keep it. But I already have sufficient collection and prefer to use them regularly. Anyway, I'm wondering, why the VC became so greedy and how they managed to be in business, when it is not a win-win, but loss-loss. If I won't sell (and I won't, at this price), they won't make money... Just does not make sense to me.

I'm super confused about vestiaire too. I don't know how they stay in business. I posted two items. One of them was put up immediately. I listed for 350 (I would receive 304), then they actually listed for 395 and the buyer still has to pay additional fees? Crazy.

My second item was posted two days ago and marked higher than their recommendation, even though it is in line with what I see as selling price on the market. The item has been pending and not listed and I can't even change the price or withdraw if I wanted to.

I don't get their strategy at all.

The buyer's fee is already included in the final price listed.
