How’s that even possible? I mean, you have to pay the bag when you order it, right away? So they should have received the payment from the buyer?
No. Apparently, the buyer can rescind or not pay up so you as seller is left holding the baby. My mistake was just sending the bag off hoping to let the buyer have the bag asap since it was going to be Chinese New Year break. Buyer then decided not to pay and sale was cancelled. Now I have to PAY import tax. In fact I just paid as the DHL guy refused (at my doorstep!( to hand me MYbag if I didn’t send in the payment . So aggrieved and upset. Vestiaire sucks. Never again

Hi, I took a PayPal dispute out and they found in my favour more or less immediately because VC just ignored them and wouldn’t provide the information they asked for. However, I had deleted my account in a state of Red mist and whilst they agreed with me, to pay me out I needed my original invoice which I couldn’t access as account deleted, I hadn’t taken a screenshot and once again VC ignored me trying to reactivate it to retrieve it.
On the face of it, yes, incredibly bureaucratic but without proof of purchase from VC (even though PP could see the transaction) they wouldn't/couldn’t pay me out without original proof of purchase invoice. But tbh, I was just satisfied with being right and it was my fault for deleting my account before it was resolved.
So in my opinion, yes go for it, but don’t delete your account until it’s resolved.
 
I also don’t understand why the buyer would be allowed to “relist” an item 8 months after purchase under my sale so that it’s ME who gets the damage (not financial in this case, since I’ve been already paid, but reputational), like it was me who sold a supposed fake???
How are they coming back to you after nearly a year claiming that transaction has to be cancelled or whatever.
It was Done/finalised then and there.
How can you even know whether that bag is the same one?! Absolute clowns :facepalm: There’s no law that they can stretch to fit their pathetic attempt at extortion!
What was the outcome of this now I’m curious?

Oh no. What happened? I bought from there 3 times but it's never been my first choice. It's actually my last choice as I've heard negative things so it makes me leary. I bought a Fendi canvas small hobo bag from them and when it arrived I didn't like it. Being a final saLe I could only ship back in hope to sell it back on VC website. I decided to sell with Fashionphile as it was easier for me as I'm local but when I tried FP rejected it stating they couldn't officially authenticate. They didn't say it was fake, but that they could not authenticate. I tried to do a trade with Rebag and they rejected it as well and I can't recall their reason now as this was a few years ago. I was really upset with this and contacted VC saying the bag I bought was fake and I want my money back. They said if it's fake they will refund me, if it's real they will sell on VC and I will get paid from that. They got the bag, and sent me a message that they can't accept the Fendi bag because it was not authentic! I said I BOUGHT IT FROM YOU! I was so upset by this! They said they will investigate, got back to me and said it's real and will list it back on VC and I can sell it with them free of charge! My other 2 transactions with VC was ok but not that one.
 
I no longer use but have a bit of experience. One biggie is they used to be very customer focused …..that changed a few years back. My scenario was ludicrous in that they sold me a bag, I tried relisting it but they refused because they said it was fake. But they sold it to me 🤦‍♀️. Screenshot any online chat you have as they don’t keep it should you wish to refer back to it.

I have purchased and sold on VC...and haven't had any issues, albeit I haven't purchased a flagship Hermes or Chanel bag (only vintage items and SLGs). But I have sold luxury bags there with no issues.

As a seller they require you to send in loads of photos, as a sort of "pre-authentication"...and then they do a physical inspection upon sale, so maybe that notion puts me at ease whenever I purchase from them.

Gosh so that happened to you as well. Crazy how they authentic what they list, we buy what they list, and then later we relist the same items that we bought from them, and they refuse and tell us its fake, when THEY initially sold the items to us! I personally almost never go on the VC site to buy anything. Thankfully VC never has anything that has tempted me to purchase that I couldn't find elsewhere.

Another good one was I bought a Mulberry bag and one of the either rivets or popper tops (hope you know what I mean) was missing. There was nothing to indicate this in the description. When I raised the complaint, and here’s why you screenshot all and any online chat, they said it didn’t have to be mentioned if it can be seen in a photo. I said ‘but it’s damage?’ That should be highlighted in the description, or at the very least some indication there was damage, missing something etc….but no. This went on for 2 days and in the end the seller agreed to cancel the order. But the online chat was utterly bizarre. I don’t have an account either but I did get some nice bags in the past.

If they can't be totally transparent then I rather spend my money elsewhere. Imo, if you shop on that website, you shop at your own risk. I seriously doubt if they do anything that will benefit the seller or the buyer if it causes them a cent to resolve or make things right. They will put the blame of our situation on us.

Hope it’s gonna be another experience that can help other people to stay away from this site or figure out the situation with them if they already got a problem! So I was dreaming about a Cartier Love bracelet for the last 10 years. I have rings from them, 2 from the boutique and 2 from eBay from legit Japanese auctions (there were absolutely crazy deals and everything is absolutely authentic, I’ve got a white gold regular size ring for 500$ in size 54 and another one was a mini full diamond one in white gold as well size 54 for 1600$ that costs 4500 in the boutique). I’ve mentioned sizes so you know I’ve got really crazy deals because it’s hard af to get something for this price from Japan because the usually sell superb small sizes like 47-49 over there. I am a luxury pieces lover and it’s one of my passions but my income doesn’t let me to get super expensive goods without dragging me into a rabbit hole in the worse way this phrase means. I can’t let myself to purchase something that will hurt myself and my family well being but I still have my wishes you know. So I have found a full size Love bracelet with new (I guess it’s from 2011 edition) type of screws (when they stay in the bracelet when you take it off) in RG size 16. For the craziest price ever for this piece again. After the negotiation I’ve got it for 3300$ something, 3600$ something after taxes and all VC fees. As far as I’m tight in budget I follow the rule “work smart, no hard”. I have so much knowledge nowadays how to authenticate the goods by myself because my budget is too tight for purchasing from the store, I guess I could open a new thread at this forum where people could send me pictures to authenticate their items. That being said I did receive the bracelet and it’s as described/showed but with no screwdriver. It’s gonna be a waaaay longer story after that guys. I will let you in the whole process by attaching a pdf file with all of my screenshots I had to send to my credit card company because I ended up to file a claim. You can see the whole story but reading my actual private chat with VC agents and the last two scans are what I’ve got from them to my email and what did I answer to them before filing a claim.
I hope it’s gonna help someone in future, I’m still stressed af about the outcome of the CC dispute being resolved and it’s going in real life time right now. Oh it was the longest post I’ve ever done in my whole life and I’m not exaggerating just to say so. And English is my second language too lol

Guys please don’t be worried about downloading my file, there are no bugs or viruses, I just added the same file I’ve made for filing a dispute with my CC company. The bank is BofA and they didn’t let me to add more the 5 files and I had freaking 32 so I had to combine all of them in pdf file that was accepted so you can read all of my chats with VC jokers.
