VC is currently giving me a headache with their robotic copy/paste answers. They treat us with such contempt - they must really hate us. I won't bore anyone here with the details but long story short, their "communication" and laughable "chat" function is appalling. They really need to pull themselves together. Surely another business can do this better?! Maybe I should start something?
I will say however, that this exercise of selling and detoxing my wardrobe, has really opened my eyes to buying anything at all. Knowing how much time one needs to invest in the listing, pictures and descriptions etc, negotiating with potential buyers, the anxiety that goes with shipping stuff out keeping fingers crossed that it delivers correctly, then praying and hoping nothing is damaged, then the prospect of being punished by Vestiaire with their lack of "communication" ... I could go on.... it has made me think not twice, but a million times about dropping money on bags, shoes and clothes. It's stopped me from purchasing things I like and only going for things I LOVE and know has longevity. Simply because with anything trendy, it's inevitable I will get bored, and I want to avoid being panicked about how to get it out of my wardrobe without making a huge loss. I used to be SO frivolous with my earnings (hence the de-clutter) but that has all changed after this. Moral of the story is: "how badly do you need that new bag (coat, jacket, boot, shoe, dress, knit)?"
