Venting - TERRIBLE service at Saks Fifth Ave

Sorry this happened to you OP. Here's another opinion.

Maybe the SA that sold the item saw that it had been on hold in the back for a while - during which time your SA switched tickets etc - and took the chance that you really were not going to purchase it. Then either the SA or a customer wanted it, saw it was still available, and purchased it.

Unlucky this time, there will be other jackets - GL :smile1:

This is rediculous! Bottom line, she said she would hold it for you. For her to "lose" it sounds fishy :thinkin: I'm just saying everytime a client wanted something I HAD to have, I'd say "let me hold it for a week, I'm sure the price will go down." Then when it's gone, I'd tell them another department took it or something. Not saying it's right, but a girls gotta do what it takes.

I ordered some shoes on saks. I've been wanting them FOREVER! So I finally decide to buy them for $500, FedEx comes today, I open the box and there are Cole Haan boat shoes!?? WTF?! I'm so pissed! So I immediately call Saks and they say they can place another order (another $500) and i will have to ship back the CHs and when they get those, they'll be able to give me a credit. So basically I'll be out $1000 for shoes and have nothing to show for it. I'm so mad right now I bet there's smoke coming out of my ears!

Their Internet business arm definitely needs some help. While you can get some good prices (I was able to get a pair of amazing Brian Atwoods for $400 down from over $1k), the phone staff were ridiculous. The woman taking my order misspelled Los Angeles (really?) and my street name, even though I spelled it several times.

Not to mention that I couldn't get their website to work with either of my two browsers.

i have not been impressed with Saks either. Every time I've ordered from them online, my items have been of poor or damaged quality. Their in-store experience might be better, but their internet sales definitely is lacking.

Wait, so you have to pay for them shipping the wrong shoes, and then pay for them to ship the correct shoes??

Yeah, that seems utterly ridiculous. That is bad business...I hope those shoes are worth the hassle! Sometimes I get so fed up that I just return everything because I don't want to deal with the process-which is just me being impatient and angry Lol :p

That is a horrible business practice! OP, I hope you seriously let them know they are treating you horribly, and are stealing your money by forcing you to pay for their mistake. In my opinion, they should either a. Offer to pay for you to send the wrong shoes back so you can get the ones you ordered, or b. let you keep both shoes and not pay a cent more.

It's their mistake, not yours. You should have to pay more than you originally did, since they are the reason you got the wrong shoes in the first place.

EEK, I better steer clear from now on from saks.com. I ordered a miu miu bow satchel that was not as described on their website! The color was a grey colored label clay and instead I get a brown chesnut bag. I was really disappointed with the leather so I had to call them back as well. Now I'm out of $1500 til they receive my bag back in the mail. >.< I'm irritated too because with just USPS mail, it'll probably be over two weeks before I get my refund back. >.<

I honestly really dislike Saks aswell. I just never find their customer service as helpful as other department stores. I'm guessing there isnt a location near you, hopefully this gets sorted out and maybe you'll save some money with their friends family discount right now aswel..

I placed an order from Saks online in the beginning of November, received part of the order, then got a shipping notice for the other part of the order. The second part never arrived, so I emailed them, and after investigating, they informed me that the item had sold out (even though I had received a shipping notification weeks before). That was about a month after they sent me the shipping notification for the item. So they told me they would refund that part of the purchase, which they did... in FEBRUARY. Why it was necessary to take almost three months AFTER they knew they item was out of stock (and four months after I placed the order) to refund me, I don't know. Needless to say, I haven't purchased anything from them since then, nor do I plan to.

They really need to get their online system in order.

I am sure you are very frustrated but looking at it from their point of view, they can't really just send out a pair of shoes without charging you for them. Let's face it. You could be lying about receiving the wrong shoes. They aren't charging you for return shipping so I don't see how they would have any other option. Sorry.

I am a good customer, have a saks card, and have shopped with them for years (though i always question why). So yeah, I would expect them to send me another pair. If they don't get the others back in two or three weeks, then they can charge me for both. But I'm also not nearly as pissed off now that I've had a chance to cool down.
